16oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy golden poor small fluffy white head. Aroma is fruity some tropical some Citrus, a bit more citrus than tropical. Taste follows the aroma, melon grapefruit, pineapple, all topped off with a really smooth creamy consistency. Pretty awesome summer beer.

Picked up a single from TW Arrowhead on 5-31-18 for $3.79. Canned on 5-4-18; consumed on 10-24-18. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured a cloudy orange with a solid white head with the initial pour.

Nose is very nice, tangerine and orange forward.

Taste follows the nose with the tangerine and orange lead followed by some peach and mango. Finish has a nice touch of citrus rind.

Mouthfeel s heavy for the style but pretty refreshing.

Overall the aromics and taste of this beer make it a winner!

Can poured into a Modern Times Beer glass

A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and leaves some thin lacing.

S: Tropical and stone fruit, zesty citrus, a bit floral, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Big tropical fruit, mango, peach, apricot, hints of pineapple, passion fruit, and papaya, some citrus, tangerine and lemon lime, a bit grassy, floral, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness. Definitely on the sweeter side.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.

O: Maybe a bit overly sweet for my taste, but the amount of flavor they packed in is impressive.

On tap, pours a fully hazed orange. White foam leaves big rings of lacing. Smell was bursting with tropical and citrus fruits. Taste follows. Fantastic New England style IPA.

Had this at the Reno Invitational last Saturday. They sent 3 different beers, this was one of the two ipas. Comes out with a moderate amount of haze and yelllow in color with a 2/3" white head that lacks in retention despite its decent size.

Aroma was a little bit of Mosaic, it wasn't super juicy, a little bit of tangerine in there.

Taste wasn't too bad. It does still keep the streak of not being super impressed with their hoppy beers. It had some juiciness, milder bitterness, the hallmarks of these hazy ipas. I think the Simcoe(?) hop pushed the most weight on this beer. Some more tropical notes like papaya and guava are up around the bend. Its an enjoyable beer, kind of amazed how they've got a decently big distribution footprint with so many other hoppy beers out there.

Type: 16-oz. can
Glass: Clear 16.5-oz. Belgian ale tulip
From: Trader Joe’s in La Mesa, Calif.
Price: $2.75
Purchased: May 20, 2018
Consumed: May 20, 2018
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Misc.: Canned on April 27, 2018

Had been seeking this out, but not really that hard. Specifically went to Trader Joe’s, hoping to grab a 4-pack, but there were only two left. So be it. Grabbed both and four other beers as well. Online description read, “The progeny of London yeast and a breathtaking plethora of juicy hops, this 7% stunner promises to be a hazy IPA of the highest order. Prepare your taste receptors for a rousing chorus of tropical wonderment that will have you singing its praises long after the final sip.” This was written late in 2017 and I was surprised that the hops weren’t mentioned. Either way, was expecting to be in the 3.90-4.10 range. NOTE: Later saw in a review that Mosaic, Simcoe and Eureka (not Ekuanot) hops were used. My two favorite and Ekuanot. Nice.

Poured a hazy bright pale color with two fingers of off-white frothy head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good spotty lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.00)

Smelled floral, passion fruit, pine forest, tangerine, papaya, rose petals, tangerine peel and lime zest. Got more Simcoe than Mosaic or Ekuanot. From the can added juicy peach, nectarine and mango, also rose petals and pine. Green peppers late as well. (Smell - 4.00)

Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. Got Simcoe first, followed by passion fruit, papaya, floral, rose petals, tangerine, peach, nectarine, woody pine, mango, peppery spice and orange peel. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)

Was kind of wavering with the smell (better than a 4.00), but really liked this overall. Maybe slightly overrated overall at 4.00. Outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)

4 pack of 16oz cans cost me $10.99 at the local gas station, so considering the style it’s fair

Normal pour into Monkish teku produces a half inch of bubbly head, fades to a super thin collar

Nice can design but the body looks watery, not milky like some but still cloudy, like a orangish copper, minimal lacing

Smell is funky and dank, slight citrus orange notes but mostly bready yeast funk that draws me in

Taste is slightly citrus w/ a solid malt backbone, similar to Oat based brews but with a touch of cannabis, there’s a slight bitterness that fades quickly

Feel is silky and light w/ a little more carbonation then expected, super drinkable w/ no real alcohol presence

Overall for the price this is one of the most solid hazy offerings you can find in my area, and hands down the most enjoyable brew I’ve had from ModernTimes to date, this is my second pack and I’ll definitely keep an eye out for it, may it return

Hazy yellow brew with adequate foam in the big Duvel tulip. Sensationally aromatic with mango especially. Clouds of carbonation melt in the mouth. All the sweetness and intensity of a double IPA with a manageable alcohol level. Pineapple-orange is the flavor with just enough bitterness to balance.

Modern Time consistently excels with these fruity hop bombs. I suspect they do a good job of anticipating hop needs and buying the best. But not all of their experiments are as successful as this one. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Can from ABV.

A hazy light orange with a white head with good retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is modestly hoppy with peach, orange, a little mandarin, some melon and a touch of grass. A little honey is present too. The palate opens mildly bitter with plenty of hop flavor. There's fresh squeezed OJ, peach juice, a little guava and some passionfruit. Floral honey notes are present as well. Quite clean, though the mid palate is a little watery. A touch of mineral is present as well. Drying on the finish, this beer is moderately carbonated. Solid stuff.
