Easily a world class beer... rich, decadent, delicious.... the macadamia nuts and coconut blend perfectly here with the base beer... warming as you sip... the 13.5% is very very well hidden here... not boozy at all... you only feel it in your belly after.... others have mentioned Almond Joys and I would concur.... one of the best beers I've had in quite a while... Thick and creamy on the palate... incredibly fragrant with the cocoa dominating... this is just really well done... gorgeous in the glass... warming opens this up to a completely other level... for what they are advertising, I think its virtually perfect... hits every mark dead on.... not inexpensive but this beer is worth it...

On tap at Tin Bucket today. Sampled side by side with the hazelnut, coffee and vanilla version, I thought this beer was clearly superior.

The beer pours the blackish brown color with pretty good head retention and lacing. On the nose, I get considerable dark chocolate, cocoa powder and coconut, along with some noticeable vanilla and light bourbon. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, and I thought the different flavors in this beer all played well together. Like the coffee/hazelnut/vanilla version, this beer is almost cloyingly sweet, but there's enough going on with the flavor profile to handle this level of sweetness. Alcohol was very well integrated into the flavor profile, though once again, just like the other Devil's Teeth beer, mouthfeel was a bit lighter/leaner than I had expected. That being said, this is a pretty impressive beer, though giving the price tag ($8 for a 5 ounce pour), it isn't a beer I'm likely to revisit any time soon.

On tap at ABV.

Jet black with no head, this looks ominous. The nose is insanely decadent. Tons of chocolate, coconut, bourbon, a light almond note, a mild vanilla character, this really is lounge a boozy Almond Joy. Thick, fudge brownie like chocolate, a nice balance of milk and dark chocolates, a delicate fruity note, this is wonderful. The palate opens big with a blend of chocolate, bourbon, coconut and a little vanilla. Mildly fruity, there's a light dried cherry note underneath the giant waves of chocolate and coconut. The macadamia character odds very light, this is dominated by coconut and a little vanilla. Sweet on the finish with a blend off coconut, chocolate and a light almond note, this bet is full in body and softly carbonated. Excellent.

Draft at Modern Times - Lomaland.

Deep dark opaque brown appearance with more foam present than you would expect out of a Bourbon barrel-aged stout. Macadamia aroma is right in your face! Plenty of it in the flavor along with some coconut at the end (as it warmed). Very sweet and rich. But a bitter at the end too. Reminds me a good bit of a liquid Almond Joy candy bar.
