Notes: Stuffed with borderline-irresponsible amounts of Nelson, Motueka and Simcoe hops, yielding a dizzyingly delightful profile replete with mango, nectarine and lime-zest character.

It’s kind of weird. Not weird like that kid who sat alone on the bus that liked to burn stuff, but it’s weird in the sense that it tastes like fresh and rotten fruit at the same time. And when I say ‘rotten fruit,’ I mean like the best organic rotten fruit. Again, it’s just weird! Funky and fresh like that camp counselor you had a crush on that you knew was a freak, but hey, she was too old for you!

Carry on.

Four pack of cans purchased at Total Wine in Lynnwood, Washington.
Canned on 09/17/2019. Poured in to a pint glass.

Look- Hazy golden orange juice color. Modest off-white head with decent retention, spotty lacing. light carbonation streams as it sits.

Smell- Light citrus, pineapple and stone fruit. A little dank and crackery malt.

Taste- Follows the nose with a bit of white pepper in there.

Feel- Light bodied compared to it's look, light carbonation on the tongue, well balanced though.

O- Not one of MT's better offerings IMO. Kind of mundane.

16 oz can poured into a stemless wine glass.

Murky orange color with a white frothy head-leaves nice lacing.

Smells of Stone fruit, grape musk, citrus and light herbs. A touch dank.

Taste mimics the nose. Nice pop of peach, nectarine with light herbs. Finished with a slightly bitter citrus note.

Mouthfeel is soft and smooth.

I enjoyed this one a lot. A really nice mix of flavors. Quite complex and satisfying. I will repeat again soon.

Picked up a 16 oz single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop cooler on 9-7-18 for $2.99. Canned on 8-29-18; cold stored since purchase and consumed on 12-11-18.

Beer poured a cloudy golden orange with a nice white head with the initial pour.

Nose has some fresh orange and tropical scents.

Taste is orange and mango forward with a touch of mild bittering citrus rind in the finish.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and refreshing.

This beer has held up pretty well despite the age. Overall a solid NEIPA style beer that i am glad to have tried!

Served with the heat domed over the glass rim. Cloudy, lighter amber color. Good steaks stemming from initial blankets.

Nice grapefruit rind aroma with a weaker pale ale malt and light warming alcohol in the background.

The malt has a stronger presence initially than the smell suggests. The bitterness takes over with earthy overtones. The finish has a bite that fades moderately. The body and carbonation are as expected. Overall, a hop forward pale ale which doesn't hit like a NE IPA.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Cloudy light golden pour with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Nice lacing... sediment at the end of the pour.

S: Citrus... hops and grapefruit.

T/F: Grapefruit and tropicals... pineapple, mango, and melon. Some floral character... sweet fruit and modest bitterness. Summer stone fruits later in the swig. Coats the tongue...with more fruit at the finish.

O: Another really nice Modern Times IPA and a nice take on the NEIPA style from a West Coast brewer. Yummy beer!

Thanks to DblDiamond for sending this one! Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 16 oz. can into an El Catador teku glass.

A: Turbid light gold with orange highlights. Visible carbonation on the low side. Forms a half-finger of fairly dense white head with great retention. Nice-looking beer.

S: Dank and herbal, with backers of tropical fruits, melon, citrus, and resinous pine. Less spicy/peppery as well. Cracker malts with a mild husky character. I don’t know where the dank is coming from, but otherwise strong Nelson aroma.

T: Tropical fruits, citrus rind, peaches, and melon. Still a bit dank here on the palate. A nice cracker malt body that doesn’t have any husk character in the flavor. Some pine resin, then a stronger peach and tangerine rind bitterness in the hang.

M: Noticeably full-bodied for an IPA but not off-putting at all. Good carbonation sensation and low alcohol.

O: Really enjoyable, and just different enough in the sea of IPAs that I would seek it out actively if I was somewhere they distributed. Nicely done.

Pours opaque and the color of grapefruit juice with a finger of head. The nose is citrusy with the particular essence of lemons. The flavor is juicy and citrusy with ample bitterness. The body is quite light and there is a trace of alcohol burn on the finish -- odd considering the modest abv.

Can from ABV.

A hazy yellow orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is a blend of mango, grape, peach, a little passionfruit and papaya. Wonderfully fruity. Bitterness is minimal. Mild honey. The palate opens with a fullness from the London yeast and the smoothness of the oats that subdued bitterness and allows the juicy hops to shine. Peach, passionfruit, mango, grape and a little mandarin are present. Drying on the finish with a touch of grass. A light bread note is present as well. Moderately carbonated, this is very nicely done.

Canned on 8/24, consumed on 9/19; poured from a tall-boy into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.

Hazy, though not quite turbid, harvest gold/mikado yellow liquor with aureolin highlights and a rapidly receding off-white cap. Fine sandy lacing, average retention.

Papaya, guava, lemon-lime, and a floral white-tea-like note in the nose.

Bright, angular palate entry with lime zest and lychee trading punches along with a chorus of lower-level tropical notes and a hint of ugli fruit. Juicy and faintly peppery with modest bitterness throughout. Pleasant base malt and clean yeast allow the hops to shine while providing a touch of sweetness as a foil. Medium-dry finish with the lime zest still active. While billed as a Nelson-bomb, the Motueka is prominent.

Soft pillowy mouth-feel, faintly warming, but with the suggestion of refreshment coming from the flavor.

Very good, very drinkable, and a great value. Definitely has me interested in other beers using this hop combo (especially in pale ales where the lower gravity would make for an even better summer beer I think).

On draft. Opaque medium/ dark yellow. Thin head with thin lacing.

First sip is grapefruit and some tropical fruit. Pretty easy drinking with lower bitterness and carbonation but finishes with a bit of the carbonation bite. Not in a bad way.

Fairly short finish.

Overall a nice hazy IPA.
