This meticulously-blended bourbon barrel-aged imperial dessert stout was allowed to mingle with an equally-meticulous blend of coffee, vanilla, bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, and candy cap mushrooms. Yes, we said mushrooms. Candy caps taste and smell just like maple syrup, and we're hella excited for you to experience the magic.

Very little head when I poured this from the bottle. Very dark with light brown swirls. Smell is mostly maple. Taste is nice with bitter coffee, a touch of maple, a touch of candy, very little vanilla. Decent thickness.

Bottle at share. Normal looking pour, black with small beige head. Aroma is roast malts, sweet, light coffee. Taste seems lacto, creamy, coffee, roast and light maple syrup. Small bitter edge.

Overall the weakest of 2019 chaos grid offerings. Quite a bit of novelty behind the candy cap mushrooms that just doesn't play out like I had hoped. It's coffee and sweet maple with muddled barrel. Hope when they use these mushrooms again it's better thought out

The pour is as dark as it gets. Zero sunlight getting through this thing.
Smell is a nice mix of chocolate, maple, and bourbon. The barrel is the strongest of them all, and I like it that way.
Taste is all milk chocolate and bourbon. There are notes of the coffee and maple adjuncts, but it could just as easily be confused for the malt profile.
Mouthfeel is the biggest strike against this one. I’m glad they didn’t go the lactose route, this one doesn’t need to be any sweeter. But I assume the barrel robbed this one of some carbonation. Just a little more would elevate this to a world class beer!
