Thank you dimidiata for this
22 oz bottle poured into a tulip

A- Dark brown with a small mocha head.

S- Bourbon, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, some coconut and pecans, hints of dark fruits.

T- Vanilla, chocolate, dark fruits, bourbon, oak, coconut, caramel, touch of pecans, touch of cherries in the finish, slightly earthy.

M- Smooth, full body.

O- This beer is truly a treat, very easy to drink for the high ABV. With the chocolate and vanilla it comes across as something between an American Barelywine and an Imperial Stout.

22 oz bomber into a snifter.

Super viscous brew, pours like crude oil. What little head attempts to form is swallowed up by its own weight.

Big wafts of vanilla extract in the nose. Oaky, caramelly, a little earthy. Hints of anise and cinnamon round the bouquet

A lot more cocoa on the palate than the nose portends...reminds me of hot chocolate that’s gone cold. As chewy as a beer gets, which works to fill every crevice of your palate with decedent chocolate and boozy vanilla. Doesn’t finish with a snap, but wasn’t intended to...sweet, chocolate residuals linger between sips.

Pretty remarkable beer. Desert-like and leans heavily on the sweet side of the palate, but the oaky aspects of barrel aging keep things quaffable.

Blended barleywine aged in bourbon barrels w/ vanilla, cocoa, & pecans.

Poured from 22oz bottle into a snifter. Virtually no carbonation, no head whatsoever. Highly viscous legs left around the glass. Smell is reminiscent of boozy caramel. The vanilla really dominates the palate, with ever so subtle hints of cocoa. There is a presence of nuttiness - but I don't think I would have guessed pecans if I didn't already know. The mouthfeel of this beer is what really sets it apart - smooth and velvety - perhaps the smoothest beer I've ever had! Absolutely amazing!!
