Friend brought me a can of this to try. Cracked it open and poured into a globe glass. Appearance was actually pretty good but aroma seemed light. Mouthfeel was too thin and the taste was abysmal. Two sips and poured it down the drain. Definitely one of Rhinegeist's worst.

NOT a fan of Dad, Looked and smelled decent but the mouthfeel was very thin and watery and the taste was awful. I feel like this was watered down and not canned properly, perhaps too much oxygen when the can was filled. Tried a few other cans in the six pack but they were all the same. I won't be bringing this one for Christmas dinner.

Similar to other reviewers, this looked great when poured into a glass but that's where it ends for me. Taste was awful and totally not what I expect from Rhinegeist. I will stick to Truth and Ink.

I have been more leery towards Rhinegeist in recent months, their latest releases just haven't done it for me. I feel like they are slipping in terms of quality. Mouth is thin and taste just seems totally wrong.

This beer had a bittery finish that really overwhelmed the taste of it. It's not a bad beer but also not really a great one either. It's just really too hoppy and the bitterness does overwhelm what taste there is.

Good aroma but mouthfeel is super thin and taste is less than mediocre. Wouldn't shell out 10 bucks for a sixer

2016 vintage. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a dark amber with nice clarity; big fluffy light tan head that slowly falls leaving great thick retention and very sticky lacing. The aromas are nonexistent. It doesn't smell bad, it just doesn't smell like anything. There's some toasted malts noticeable when you dig really deep. The flavors are clean and bitter. Nice earthy hop bitterness. Lots of pine. More toasted malts, but the hop bitterness might outweigh the malt backbone. There's a subtle spiciness. Possibly some rye in the mix. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is really nice. It's on the lighter side of medium-bodied with fluffy active carbonation. It's very creamy, smooth and easy to drink.

I might not personally love this one, but I appreciate it. It's very clean, crisp and refreshing. The aroma department is lacking though.

Cloudy red copper with a soft white blanket.

Smell and taste are relatively in line with each other, bringing caramel, bread, and nut brown attributes, but hoppy with touches of pine and citrus.

A bit of an odd combo for me.
