Dad brewed by Rhinegeist Brewery, with an ABV of 6.00% This American Amber/ Red Ale pours out a nice redish deep amber color with a nice thick white head. Really like the copper color of this brew. There is also a decent amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with earthly grains and malts and a good amount of hops. Between the look and smell of this is one inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is bold and rich with flavors. You pick up on roasted grians and malts at first then a nice bitterness at the end with the hops. The body of Dad is a medium to heavy, but not to heavy. There is a lot going on in Dad, this is a nice full flavored brew. There is alot going on in this American Amber/Red Ale. I can't get over how smooth this brew goes down, it is really hard to pick up on the 6.00% ABV in this brew. The mouth feel is Bold, Clean , Smooth , Mild, and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving Dad a 4.25 out of 5. I would look this brew up again givin the chance to. Rhinegeist Brewery, did a real nice job with this brew. If your are a fan of roasted but hoppy brews look this one up.

I bought a 6pck of this from my Meijer's. It poured a clear copper with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had hints of bitter hop and ginger/nutmeg spices. The taste is nicely balanced and easy to drink. There is hints of pine and caramel base. The Mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid holiday beer. Certainly worth a try.

Cloudy red copper with a soft white blanket.

Smell and taste are relatively in line with each other, bringing caramel, bread, and nut brown attributes, but hoppy with touches of pine and citrus.

A bit of an odd combo for me.

Poured into a tulip, 1st appearance was velvety red with a 2" cream head that was slightly hoppy that soon changed to a chocolatey maple brown body with a thin white head and slow carbonation.
Aroma: Christmassy, cinnamon, hoppy, piney, chocolatey, nutmeg.
Feel: light and creamy, malty and thin. Very smooth and well balanced.
Taste: just like it says on the can, it's a beer to have right after consuming Oktoberfests, followed by November brown ales, and right after taking your 1st shot of scotch before the winter. It's a pre-winter, pre-Christmas beer. Called dad probably because it's the beer to drink after buying the last Christmas gift for your kids and now ready to unwind after working your ass off to afford the present. It's the beer reward for all dad's. Taste is malty, cinnamon, nutty, chocolate, hoppy, piney, and creamy.

Dad | Rhinegeist Brewery. Poured from the can into a pint glass, this beer's head is tan and three fingers thick, with webbed lacing, and a deep mahogany.

Smells like holiday spices with pine-y hops.

I taste quite a bit of bock traits with an enjoyable note attributed to the hops.

Medium mouthfeel with mild carbonation.

Overall, I'll rate Dad | Rhinegeist Brewery with a 4.25. Good, but not much re-buy value.

12 ounce can, no canning date that I could find on it but I'm pretty sure it's a winter 2016 release. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy reddish/amber color with about an inch and a half off-white head that stayed around for a long time. There's also a good amount of lacing. The brew smells like earthy and citrusy hops, caramel and a bit of cherry. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some toffee, spicy rye and toasted malt noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and has a good amount of carbonation. It's also smooth and easy enough to drink. I thought it was a good enough brew, certainly worth a try. $9.99 a 6-pack.

This reminds me a lot of a fat tire. Nice hoppy bite with a lot of malts to balance it out. Definitely a good beer to have this time of the year. Go get you one.

On-tap 12/18/2016 at Natty Greene’s Tavern in North Attleboro, MA, served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a deep dark coppery brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, floral hops, fruit and brown sugar.

T: The taste starts out bready with a hearty malt character followed by sweet flavors of caramel, fruit and brown sugar. The hops presence is strong but not over-powering and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly bready.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.

2016 vintage. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a dark amber with nice clarity; big fluffy light tan head that slowly falls leaving great thick retention and very sticky lacing. The aromas are nonexistent. It doesn't smell bad, it just doesn't smell like anything. There's some toasted malts noticeable when you dig really deep. The flavors are clean and bitter. Nice earthy hop bitterness. Lots of pine. More toasted malts, but the hop bitterness might outweigh the malt backbone. There's a subtle spiciness. Possibly some rye in the mix. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is really nice. It's on the lighter side of medium-bodied with fluffy active carbonation. It's very creamy, smooth and easy to drink.

I might not personally love this one, but I appreciate it. It's very clean, crisp and refreshing. The aroma department is lacking though.
