Brewed once upon a time, in a galaxy not so far away. Andromeda Pale Ale casts a constellation of interstellar hop flavor, illuminating the palate with notes of peach, mandarin, and freshly cut grass. Pay heed to the heavens before indulging — a hop shower cometh.

A - Pale orange body, just a hint of haze, a big white head, rocky, with lots of ropy lacing. A mighty fine looking beer.
S - Opens with a punchy harsh dank hit, moving to a pine and resin core, and a mild pithy note, too.
T - Opens with a orange and grapefruit pith hit, pine and resin, and a strongly bitter bite in the close.
M - Slightly taxing dry line, with some building resin on the tongue.
O - Solid, but a beer that fades quickly. While it is at its height this is a delicious hop forward IPA, with dank and bitter highlights.

Scrappy notes from summer 2016.
12 ounce cans from Jungle Jim's Market in Fairfield, OH.
48IBU Single hop galaxy. Peach, orange, grass. Well balanced, slightly bready with some hops lingering, fresh and excellent tasting with a med body. It is a little bit oily and hop forward.

Not a fan of this one. Extremely metallic and grassy with a green flavor. Semi offputting but not terrible.

12oz can served in a tulip glass. Canned 12/27/18 11:13 Batch 6000021 "Major Tom?"
Appearance: Translucent/hazy gold to light amber color. Persistent off-white head with lots of persistent lacing all over the glass.
Smell: Peach, citrus, hint of lemon.
Taste: Citrus, peach, grassy, grainy malt, bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, slick, a bit sticky on the teeth from the hop oils.
Overall / Drinkability: Great looking beer - but I don't think I'm a big fan of the Galaxy hop, or, this beer hasn't aged so well after 3 months. It's okay, but one is enough.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 12/27/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, mint, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, mint, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, mint, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, fairly crisp, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 5.7%. Overall this is an outstanding American pale ale. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Amazing Galaxy/Motueka profile. Extremely vibrant, juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balancing pale/wheat malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering crisp/resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Loved the hop profile as expected.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Hazy pale orange color with many lifeless tiny floaters, almost looking like a galaxy itself. Head is about 2 fingers thick, good retention and lacing. Moderate carbonation.
Peaches and mandarins are upfront in the aroma. Other notes include bread malt and biscuit, bloodorange, tangerine, overall very citrusy.
Grassy hops and citrus upfront on the palette, along with prominent grapefruit. Bread and biscuit upon swallowing and lingering aftertaste. Feels somewhat smooth.

Poured a bubbly dark slightly hazy gold with a 2 finger head. Moderate lacing was present. Nose of peach, grapefruit and grass. However, midway through, I noticed a waft of funk, which really drove down my score for smell. Strong taste of grapefruit and bitter pith with pine resin lingering on the tongue. No noticeable malt. Thin dry feel with a slight slickness.
