This is a nice hoppy pale ale that when judged against other pale ales seems especially tasty. Quite bitter but not nearly as interesting or complex as Truth. Still do $6.99 a bomber this is a good deal.

This Rhinegeist IPA was released as a limited record store day brew in Cincinnati, Ohio in April 2015. It's got good smell and looks to it, but the taste isn't my favorite. Not bad, just not great. Slightly hoppy with a floral and grass flavor, but leaving a very bitter aftertaste even more so than a normal IPA. I'd go with Truth over this one myself.

Had this one at the brewery. It's Truth lite to my unsophisticated palette. Good, but go Truth.

Acquired from Shake it Records in Cincinnati, Ohio and poured into a pint glass. Poured a nice golden pretty decent head and nice retention, left nice foam lacing on side of glass. Smell has lot of citrus notes with a bit of pine. Taste follows suit, some grapefruit and pine slight bitterness at end. I'd say medium body mouth-feel. Fairly solid IPA from Rhinegeist.

Look - Darker orange body. See through. Thick bubbled head. Thick ivory head. Lacing.

Smell - Dank/sticky pine. Grapefruit. Strong for 6.4 abv IPA (according to label).

Taste - Pine slightly outweighs the citrus. Grapefruit and orange. Floral.

Feel - There is a lot of carbonation but has a creamy feeling. Alcohol is subdued. Bitterness does stick to tongue.

Overall - I found this at a liquor store in Covington, Kentucky that still had Alpha Klaus in July (and other Floyds). I had to pick this up as well. This is the first beer I have noticed where it feels like a Sprite (LeBron Sprite to be exact). There isn't a bomb that I am used to, but throughout. Very good dankness for ABV.

Clear amber color. Excellent head and ring lace.

Lots of grapefruit and pine resin smell.

Very hoppy, naturally, but I'm surprised to feel the alcohol warmth at 5.5% abv. Toast and unsweetened caramel make up the full bodied base. The hop lands as more peppery than I expected. Spritzy yet creamy.

Just in time for "Record Store Day", the Rhinegeist brewres devise a hop-centric beer that resonnates with a crescendo of hop upon a strum of caramel and faintly nutty grain. But let's cast the puns aside and celebrate this beer's taste.

Given a serious nod to the hoppy side, the amber-stained beer casts citrus, tropical and herbal inspirations above a feathery white head. The taste locks in with a bright bouquet of pink grapefruit, juicy orange and a twang of lemon and tea that all seem to be dipped in equal parts of honey and caramel.

Trending dry and crisp, the beer's creamy carbonation lifts the sweetness and carries it into a hurried finish while the hops begin to project. Those citrus notes bleed into slim pineapple, mango and apricot with a plumb tropical middle palate. Late bitterness manifests with peps of pine and grass as the beer assumes an aggressively dry finish.

While the bitter taste grows and grips the throat with its resiny oils and herbal glory, the beer's medium body dries fast and treats the finish with pine cone, torn spruce needle and an aftertaste of citrus rib, pine shavings and fresh-cut grass.
