Poured an somewhat murky orange, with red highlights near the center. A large, rich off white formed from an aggressive pour, and while it slowly subsided to a thin cap, it left behind some great lacing. The nose is sweet, with soft hints of grapefruit and oranges, backed by an aggressively sharp pine. The flavor profile seems to be well balanced for an IPA. Starts off rather soft, but then the carbonation quickly sharpens things up, along with a building note of pine. This pine note is a constant flavor through the rest of the tasting, with floral notes, and hints of grapefruit and citrus showing up. The finish bitters up quickly, leaving a very pronounced pine flavor to coat the tongue.

The mouthfeel is a real let down for me. It just has too much carbonation for my tastes. It's extremely invasive, and only takes away from an otherwise positive experience for me . Really good beer otherwise, but I think I prefer Truth over this one.

Can into a snifter. Apricot orange in color, midly hazy with some sediment at the bottom. About 1 finger of bubbly, white foam. Fizzed down to a nice lacing after a few minutes. Nose is peach, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, hop resin, and buttery malt. Lots of juicy tropical fruits on the taste; citrus, mango, peach, grapefruit, etc. A good hop bite. Light malt at the end. Medium bodied, juet about perfect in terms of weight and feel. Definitely hop-forward. Overall, I really enjoyed this one.

Appearance - pours slightly cloudy copper color with nice white head that settles to a thin cap. Spotty lacing.

Aroma - Lemon, grapefruit, malt, citrus peel, bread and floral hops.

Taste - Well balanced flavors of malt, citrus peel and bread. Earthy floral hops come in nicely on the finish.

Feel - light bodied well carbonated really easy drinking and refreshing.

Overall - hits the spot, solid balanced flavors and easy drinking.

A very solid pale ale. very drinkable. not overbearing but at the same time very flavorful. if you are seeking a solid pale ale in line with sierra nevada this will work. the only problem i have with it is thats its a seasonal. its not a fresh hop so i do wonder why they only offer it in the fall. i would definitely drink it year round

Tasty pale ale from Rhinegeist. Flavor is ripe melon and orange rind. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Would order this one again...too bad I don't see it around town very often.

Very good pale ale with nice citrusy aroma and flavor. I found it to be very "drinkable" with great balance. The citrus is evident, but importantly doesn't take away from or overwhelm the hops to the point where I would call it "fruity". Actually one of my favorite pale ales I have tried. Highly recommended.
