Clear orange color, small head, no lacing. Pine, pineapple, kiss of sweet malt. Pretty well built and approachable. Bitterness never dominates. Can have a few in one sitting without fatigue. Recommended.

12oz can, sample from the brewery.

Big piney, pineapple ladened, mildly bitter resin filled DIPA is what I get from the first sip. Malt backbone holds up enough against the alcohol and hop onslaught. Easy to knock back, certainly enjoyable enough to have more than one.

I had to give this a review, because I really enjoyed this beer. I don't have anything to flowery to say. The color is light, straw colored. I didn't taste as many as much pineapple as resinous pine with a bread aroma. Good solid bitter finish. Malts in a welcomed supporting role. Just the right amount of carbonation, maybe more than most Imperial IPA's. Mmmm, good beer.

Was excited to see this in a four pack of cans at my grocery. Very decent "American Double," but nothing to blow the mind. All the beers from these folks are made with quality, and this is no exception. Drink it.

I was expecting this to be a full step above Truth. But really it was hardly any better to me.

P- Poured from a 12 oz can,into a Cigar City spiegelau IPA glass.Canned on 3/08/17.

L- Thin soapy white head that stands 1 finger tall, with low retention and sticky lacing.Hazy gold / straw colored body with moderate clarity, and slightly distorted light showing through the glass.Medium amount of carbonation, and medium amount of sediment.

S- On the nose I get mango and tangerine, with some grapefruit citrus hops, mixed with trace notes of pine hops. These are balanced with just the slightest hint of sweet biscuit malt.

T- The palate follows the nose with grapefruit and pine hops up front.Mango and tangerine in the middle are balanced by biscuit cracker malts.Grapefruit and pine return on the back end.

F- The mouth feel is medium bodied, with moderate amounts of oxidation on the tongue.Dry and chalky on the finish.

O- This is a pretty good IPA.It probably would have been even better fresh, but still very good.I would definitely drink this one again. And once again,I would recommend all the hop heads give it a try.

98 IBUs. Poured from a can into a Woodburn tulip. The pour is a hazy pale gold with 2 fingers of fine white head. Good retention. The nose has a bit of everything one would find in a IIPA: fresh toast, fresh lemon, grapefruit, cigar box, and pine.

Medium body with a firm feel and a nice hoppy flavor. Not much malt sweetness, just enough to support a salvo of grapefruit rind, lemon zest, cedar, and rose petals. A little citrusy, a little dank and resiny. The hop bill appeals to both camps. Finishes dry and bitter with hoppy oils coating your mouth.

So what do I think of this beer? I'll put it this way - I've been drinking it ever since it first came out and never got around to reviewing it, saying "I just want to enjoy this one - I'll do it next time." The fact that I always knew there would BE a next time indicates I have every intention of buying (and continuing to buy) this beer. I think it's terrific. It's bitter as hell, but pleasant-tasting with just enough extra malt to allow the brewer to ratchet up the hops. Is it the best IIPA I've ever had? Don't be silly. I'm just very happy that it's world class and easily found all year long. That's good enough for me.
