Intense & refined, Knowledge delivers notes of resinous pine, dank sap, pithy grapefruit, of ripe pineapple. Chewy hops, a zesty punch; this erudite Imperial India Pale Ale sharpens perceptive depths in the studious night.

12 oz. can, canned 08/10/23. Another new one to me from Rhinegeist Brewery, who has slowly but steadily been climbing my list of go-to breweries.
A: Good color; a light golden with some ok overall clarity. Strong finger point five worth of soapy frothy white suds. Small spotty lacing. Looks excellent & fresh.
S: Smell is fresh, floral, piney, hoppy, with a little bit of underlying cara-malt. Not overly strong or anything, but fresh, herbal & grassy.
T: Oh yeah, this is hitting all the right spots. Floral, herbal, grassy, lightly piney / hoppy. Excellent usage of whatever hops were used here. Hop bitterness is in just the right place,
F: Smooth, crisp, clean, super light especially for the higher 8.5 % . Alcohol content is barely noticeable aside from a small hit of residual booze heat on the finish, which sort of melds with the hop bitterness.
Overall, I'd call this an excellent throwback to the classical rendition of the DIPA style. Mf's all forgot how to brew shit that isn't 'Hazy bro" so thank god for Rhinegeist. This beer is right up there with their Truth IPA, both excellent.

Expected Truth on steroids, but got Torpedo with extra gravity.

12 oz can from a Columbus Ohio Kroger with a 5/5/2023 canning date.
Appearance. Clear amber colored body with a good white head that leaves plentiful lacing.
This has plenty of grapefruit notes but is not particularly dank and only moderately bitter for the style. There are subtle hints of honey and pineapple. Nicely balanced and harmonious.

The flavor isn't super unique but I will say it's completely different than the rest of their portfolio so that's a plus, I definitely like this a good bit, glad to find it pretty fresh too. I would get this again

12FLOZ can
Served in a tulip glass
This beer pours golden with a slight haze to it. It is topped with an inch of off-white head that leaves spotty lacing.
Grapefruit and resin aroma. Hints of booze.
Citrus with a focus on grapefruit upfront. Pine and resin on the back end. Slight alcohol flavor with a bitter finish but not super bitter.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
This is a very enjoyably IPA from Rhinegeist. It reminds me of what they used to be when Truth was a great beer.

Rhinegeist Brewery "Knowledge"
12 fl. oz. can, "CANNNED 02/25/22 202904 15:32 HOPS ON MY MIND"
$2.33 @ Wegmans, King of Prussia, PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: "KNOWLEDGE" is an Imperial India Pale Ale with 98 IBUs at 8.5% ABV. The body is a hazy golden beneath a creamy cap of bright white foam. The aroma is citrusy, otherwise tropical, piney, and resinous over a sweetish and doughy malt base. A lot of double IPAs lack in aroma due to the competition with the malt but that's not the case here. It's not super bright but it's clearly hoppy. The flavor follows suit with notes of orange, sugared grapefruit, nectarine, apricot, pineapple, pine, earthiness, "dankness", and herbs. The sweetness of the doughy and honeyish malt is perfectly balanced by the solid bitterness, and it finishes with a fast fading note of fruitiness that leaves behind earthiness, pine, and bitterness. The body is medium-full and it's gently crisp with a fine-bubbled carbonation. As far as the wheelhouse of double or Imperial IPAs goes this one remains pretty close to center but with a kind of West Coast vibe, and that's OK by me ~ it's just a solid, very well made and highly drinkable IPA.

L-pours a lightly clouded straw yellow with a moderate head and reasonable lacing
S-a hop forward nose that has predominantly pine and some lighter grass odors
T-balanced. There is a roundness with a bright opening. The beer is flavorful without having any of the trendy citrus flavors. The high abv is well hidden and while there is a bit of a bite, it is subtle
F-this is probably where this beer stands out from the very crowded field of imperial IPAs. It is smooth, it’s medium bodied, and it’s eminently drinkable.
O-best rhinegeist regular offering. This is a hop forward ipa with plenty of taste and without excessive bitterness or bite. Really no part of the beer is a miss, and it’s remarkably consistent across batches.
