12oz can, canned on 12/17/19, served in a tulip stout glass.

Appearance: Clear/bright dark brown, light tan head, good lacing.

Smell: Metallic, roasted malt.

Taste: Roasted malt, metallic, bitter, char.

Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, a bit thin, but pretty close to style.

Overall / Drinkability: Pretty tasty overall and hit the style well. Went quite well with peanuts and M&Ms as I thought it might. Easily drinkable and would not mind having another one to wash down a meal.

Uncle brewed by Rhinegeist Brewery, with an ABV of 4.20% This English Dark Mild Ale pours out of a 12oz can into a pint beer glass. The color an look of this brew reminds me of Cola, not saying that is a bad thing. The color is a nice deep brown color with a nice off white head. There is also some nice mirror lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is Rich with Roasted goodness. You pick up a lot of Roasted grains, malts and Hops. So far Uncle is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Rich with goodness. You first pick up on the roasted grains and malts. Then a nice slightly sweet, nutty flavors at the end. The body of Uncle is a solid medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to. I can't get over how smooth this brew goes down. This brew would go nice with lunch or dinner. The mouth feel is Bold, Rich, Clean, Smooth, and Refreshing. Overall I am going to give Uncle a solid 4 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again givin the opportunity too.
Rhinegeist Brewery did a super nice job with this English Dark Mild Ale.

Uncle English-style dark mild ale by Rhinegeist Brewery. Poured from the can into a pint glass, the head is three fingers thick and off-white, with webbed lacing, and a
clear deep brown body.

I smell carmelized malts, coffee, toffee, and a mild smokiness.

Tastes like the caramelized malts, coffee, and toffee with a very small touch of sweetness mid-pallate. A cleaner finish than I I figured would come with flavors such as these.

Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation.

I'll go ahead and rate Uncle English-style dark mild ale with an overall 4.5. This is a very crushable selection by Rhingeist Brewery.

Canned 12/30/19 & poured into a tulip. Very dark brown with a thin tan head & light lacing. Smell is faint toffee & carmel, and the taste follows suit. Rather refreshingly light in flavor and thin in mouthfeel. I am very much a novice when it comes to this style so I wouldn't try to rate the beer as to the style. But Uncle makes me want to try more of this style albeit they are hard to find. Will probably purchase 6 more before they are gone from my area.

12oz CANNED 12/17/19 (2 months ago) poured into a nonic pint glass at just above fridge temp 4.2% ABV per can label. The beer pours bright light brown with ruby highlights and light brown head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is faint nuts and toasted malt. The taste is more of the same with toasted malt, burnt sugar caramel, nuts and a mild earthy hop quality with little bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, very good. Amazing strength of flavor in a 4.2 ABV beer.

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a clear dark amber with white head that left a very slight lace. The scent had grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with biscuit flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.
