Notes: Rare are moments of truth, when you've struck the last match, belting out tunes with your friends, staring deep into the campfire-times when you feel infinite. Our truth is found in the scintillating brilliance of hops. Brewed with a nod to the pacific, hops sizzle with tropical fruit aroma, grapefruit & mango notes and a dry finish.

Poured into a red Solo cup. Purchased as a single can from Kroger for $2.17.

L - Cloudy honey in color, with a two-finger pale wheat head. Large bubbles in the head.
S - Sweet grapefruit, tropical fruit, cannabis. Hints of malty crackers.
T - Well-balanced. Peppery pine notes. Pine resin. Underlying flavors of grapefruit, and general citrus. Bitter for sure, but has an unleavened bread aftertaste.
F - Massive hit of carbonation with a sort of sharp-buttery finish. It's weird, in a good way.
O - A classic take on the American IPA. Nothing terrible about it in any regard. Quite refreshing and flavorful, but could use slightly more of a malty base to it.

cloudy wheat colored. very little head, off-white with retention.
pine, oranges. picking up a hint of spiciness.
taste follows nose with the pine over citrus. cannabis also. nice balance on the bitter.
medium mouthfeel, maybe a bit fuller than many similar brews. resinous.
one of my favorite IPAs. unique flavor profile, good balance and i like the fuller mouthfeel.

Citrus and pine with a hint of bitterness. Golden pour with a nice body and head. This is the best IPA I have ever tasted. Enjoy this wonderful beer with friends

L: Hazy amber with plenty of foam. Glossy underneath the lacing.

S: Not really too much of anything. The hops unfortunately do not smell fresh. It is a year-round brew afterall.

T: It's bitter and oily, but you can do that with hop pellets. Lots of flavor regardless. It's citrusy (grapefruit) and pungent (mosaic). It has an underlying bitterness in addition to those two. I'm not hyped about the hops overall, but the malts are excellent.

F: Prickly carbonation. Biting hops. Melts over one's palate.

O: It's good, but it could be better. Stick to their seasonals like Cloud Harvest. (which I will be revewing next)

Had this beer on draft. Pours a clear golden color with a white head.

Smells of hops and malt. Tastes of mildly piney hops with weak floral and citrus accents. Mildly bitter crisp finish.

Medium body and light carbonation.

Very enjoyable!

My favorite IPA of all times. It is the standard I use to compare all other IPA’s. I love how I feel after that very first sip. It totally relaxes me, all my troubles and worries seem to fade away. It is all that an IPA should be. It is smooth and tart at the same time. It is bold and then mellow as it makes it way to my stomach. I will soon travel to Cincinnati and I am looking forward to a visit to the source of my delight .

It is one of my most favorite of all time. It has a great flavor without being harsh and is pretty refreshing for an IPA. It definitely has a bit of a kick in regards to alcohol content. I was visiting Ohio when I found this last year and have not been able to find it in MN as of yet. I will be visiting their location in Cinci OH soon to get me some more!! Very tasty!

I've met a lot of people who don't like IPA's, but I've never met a person who doesn't like Rhinegeist's Truth. It's got a perfect balance of drinkability and potency.

Pours golden with white bar pour head good lace. Nose is pine and fruity citrus. Taste is pine and citrus fruity some grapefruit. Lingering pine bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium lightly peppy carbonation that brings out the bitterness. Overall not a bad IPA nothing to really knock it for but nothing to great to make it a regular.

I did not like the finish on this one (didn't finish clean as it left a noticeable aftertaste), otherwise it's an average IPA. Decent hoppiness for the hop lovers out there.

12 oz can, 10/22/19
Ploughshare Widemouthed Glass
Thanks Kevin!

Caramel-toffee color with a tall fluffy head of 2 fingers, receding to 1, and leaving tons of lush lace.

Aroma of fresh pine and citrus, with shades of evergreen, mango, white bread, and brown sugar.

Flavor brings forth tons of evergreen and pine, almost minty even, with tailing notes of grapefruit peel and peppery wood. Tons of malt here as well - bready and toasty, with hints of brown sugar, more mint, and caramel sauce.

Feel is resiny all the way home, with a moderate to high amount of burning alcohol but completely welcome here; sticky icky hop cling, and a moderate carbonation to keep it lively. Dry resiny finish.

Overall, a very nice mash up of west coast and middle US, very minty and piney, good for those looking for a heavy palate scrubbing west coast fix.

Truth has a thick, off-white head of foam, a brilliant gold-orange appearance, lots of powdery sediment, and heavy glass lacing. The aroma is of hop resins & white bread crust, and the flavor is similar, with strong bitterness. The mouthfeel is high medium, and Truth finishes mostly dry.

A benchmark for IPAs east of the Mississippi, I found Truth much better than most of Rhinegeist's other beers. I think it's crispier and more drinkable than many renowned IPAs from the Western US. A very refreshing zesty beer with a slightly metallic finish.

Copper orange in color with a light haze. Poured with a tall, creamy, off-white foam with moderate retention. Citrus, tangerine and orange peel aromas with caramel malt. Medium bodied with medium light carbonation. Soft, creamy smooth feel with light warmth from the middle to the end. Citrus hop flavors up front with over-ripe pineapple notes that quickly transition to an earthy dankness. Solid malty backbone with caramel note from start to finish. Medium hop bitterness through the middle. Sweet melon and over-ripe pineapple flavors on the back end along expanding dry boozy warmth. Finished semi-dryly with caramel malt flavors and earthy, spicy bitterness that slowly tapers. Nice look and a great smooth, soft creamy feel. Aromas are mellow and subdued but inviting. Nice hop complexity and warmth that is nicely balanced by the malty backbone. Easy dry finish that wasn’t overly bitter. Tasty, easy, and enjoyable. This was excellent.

12oz, canned 07/09/2019. Clear copper colored ale is capped by a frothy beige head that leaves thick lacing on the glass. Pine, citrus, tropical fruit and caramel malt for aroma. Great balanced flavors of caramel and toasty grain along with pine, orange & grapefruit zest, and some mango. Medium body, ample carbonation, bitter yet balanced finish. Glad to finally try this one! Just as good as I expected!

Tasty!
Pours a cloudy amber with scant white head and effervescent.
smells of tropical fruits, biscuit
Taste is tropical fruit, citrus, molasses, vanila - piney resinous notes with caramel notes to balance out
mouth feel is medium - good astringency - well balanced between sweet malts and hops
I'm not a big IPA fan - this is easily the best, most balanced IPA I've had - definitely my new favorite

Excellent ipa, good strong hop flavor, explosion of fruit and pine flavors, but never overwhelming. Gets better as it warms up, which is always a sign of a well crafted brew in my book.

Pours quite orange for an IPA with a rather frothy head; only slightly hazy. Excellent lacing during drinking which saves the look score. Aroma contains some fruity hop along with sweet malt, nothing to write home about. Taste follows with grapefruit leading the way along with some caramel malt and a little bitterness to end each sip. Mouthfeel is fine; this is a decent IPA which I was happy to try yet nothing I'm going to go out of my way for to try again.

Neither an East nor a West Coast IPA. It has an impressive flavor kick without being too bitter or fruity. Worthy of being a go-to. Not quite sessionable, though - when I have had 3 in a sitting, the third tastes far too piney.
