Notes / Commercial Description:
Rare are moments of truth, when you've struck the last match, belting out tunes with your friends, staring deep into the campfire-times when you feel infinite. Our truth is found in the scintillating brilliance of hops. Brewed with a nod to the pacific, hops sizzle with tropical fruit aroma, grapefruit & mango notes and a dry finish.

Pours a dark hazy dark gold, with nice head. Great citris smell hop heads will love the 75IBU finish. This is a top rate IPA.

I thought "Truth" (ABV 7.20%, IBU 75) was an excellent IPA. A friend sent it to me.

Look: hazy light golden hue with a thick bubbly white head.

Aroma: grapefruit and pine

Taste: A little bit sweet, grapefruit, pine resin, maybe a little bit of pine apple.

Feel: light to medium body, flavorful and bitter, yet thirst quenching.

One of my top 10, Truth is probablybthe best IPA available in a can. An outstanding choice.

On tap at Primanti Bros. in Indianapolis, served in a shaker pint.

Look- A dark gold/amber color with a finger of creamy white foam that quickly settles leaving moderate lacing behind.

Smell- Grapefruit, pine needles, floral and spice, a little malt.

Taste- Bitter grapefruit flesh, pine resin and a rye-like spice.

Feel- Resiny and quite bitter.

Overall- As IPA's go, this is one of the more bitter ones I've had in recent memory. I feel like it's eating the enamel off my teeth. If you love grapefruit juice this is probably for you. I prefer a little more tropical balanced fruit salad. It's not a bad beer, just not my thing.

Rhinegeist Brewery "Truth"
12 fl. oz. can, coded "06217..." and sampled on 081617
$2 @ Wegmans, State College, PA

Notes via stream of consciousness: Good looking label, I like the colors and I like the name. A two-finger thick head of off-white rests steadily over a slightly hazy deep gold body. The aroma is brightly hoppy and pungent with tropical fruits and a bit of pine. The flavor follows and I'm finding some pineapple, grapefruit, and orange. It's sweetish like honey with a stiff bitterness to balance it. The malt is lightly caramelish and subtly toasty. It finishes dry and a touch spicy and herbal but with some residual tropical fruit as well. Medium bodied and crisp. Pretty solid all around. Nicely balanced. Full of flavor. Two thumbs up!

I got a little bit of bitter at the beginning and at the back of the throat I got a fruity taste hint of mango and pineapple, Pretty good.

A good and pleasing brew. It has a deep golden amber color. It pours with minimal foam, giving very little head. It has a subtle hops taste, maybe a little light, but certainly not an overbearing pungent flavor. The taste is lingering, delightful followed by a pleasing finish. Certainly what I call a nice summer brew.

Poured into a clear glass. Very hazy, rich pineapple-orange color and a think head.

Smells like tangerine, mango, and pineapple along with other citrusy notes.

Very spicy and dry hop-wise, with grapefruit and orange peel obvious. Smooth.

Pretty good!
