Twelve ounce can pours a hazy straw colored brew. Big rocky three finger head that dissipates slowly. Slight film remains to the bottom of the glass. Smells of yeast, hoppy citrus with lots of pineapple. Taste is mildly bitter up front and lasts throughout. Grapefruit up first with the lingering bitterness already mentioned. Flavors don't seem to complement each other. Slightly overly carbonated which leaves the beer a little thin and watery. The long lasting bitter aftertaste that lingers far after the drinking definitely does not leave one wanting another.

Canned on 12/14/16. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a light golden with a subtle haze but still has some clarity to it; small white head that fades leaving solid retention and nice lacing. The aromas are very nice. Very bright and vibrant. Lots of ripe tropical fruit. Lots of peach, mango and pineapple. The Belgian characteristics seem almost nonexistent and lost due to the hops, but it still smells great nonetheless. The flavors basically follow the nose. The flavors are hop forward as well. More fresh tropical fruit along with some hints of grapefruit. Some hints of fresh grass in the mix. The Belgian characteristics become a bit more noticeable in the flavor department, especially in the finish. The yeasts give this one a nice sweetness, but it's definitely more bitter than sweet. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is light with very active carbonation. It's smooth and pretty easy to drink.
This is a great brew. Very nice showcase of hops. The Belgian characteristics might take a backseat, but everything still works. This is possibly the best beer I've had from Rhinegeist, to date.

On the front end I get a smooth apricot and peach flavor before it yields a Belgian yeast. Slightly bitter hops come out before a tea leaf malty backbone. It finishes with more citrus tones. Good stuff!
