pretty decently kept place, they try and keep it clean, sometims the floors can get muddy during winter months, but that is expected.
they are happy to carry out large loads for you. also always happy to check in back for things out of stock. service is run very much like the fargo south store.
selection is decent. less of a selection that the fargo south store, but still pretty good for the area.
just like the other fargo store, prices when up with the transfer of ownership a year or so ago.

They have a decent amount of beers here. It's the second biggest shop in Fargo. They have a decent amount of singles for $2, or you can build your own six pack. A big portion of the beer section is cases and cases of American macro lagers, which isn't very impressing. They don't have the greatest selection of micro brews, but there are some. Overall, it's not to bad of a place and it is close to campus which is a plus. Most of the store is wine and liqours. They are called a bottle shop, which I think means to imply that their specialty is wine. I think they could expand their beer selection a little bit and bring in a broader range of micro brews.

I stopped in here while I was in town for the Fargo Marathon hoping to score some local North Dakota beers to take home with me. While I was impressed with the appearance and cleanliness of the place I must admit that the beer selection left me wanting. There was nothing that I hadn't tried before, but let me go on and say that isn't their fault. There are apparently not many microbreweries in North Dakota. Fortunately I enjoy sampling and reviewing wine as well and was able to find wine from a couple of local wineries. If I had been more diligent I would have checked this site before my trip and known that there was a brewpub on Broadway and Old Broadway had a good beer selection. We actually went to an italian place for dinner instead of Old Broadway to "carbo load" but if I knew then what I know now. . . .anyhow, Happy Harry's is fine if you are from the area or visiting the area, but it is not a "destination" for the beer lover in my opinion.

Happy Harry's is located quite close to the famed "FargoDome," which, incidentally, has no dome. In any case, Happy Harry's is a welcomed alternative to many of the liquor stores in the Fargo/Moorhead area... there are far too many shops piled high with cases of Busch Light and Miller. Happy Harry's is a nice, clean open store with a good variety of craft beer as well as wine, liquor and of course BMC. Their selection isn't bad, in fact, it's pretty good considering its competition around time. Lots of 6s and a decent variety of singles. Definitely one of North Dakota's best.
