Note: The low quality rating is due to the high prices yet what is given is just the same as any other bar out there.

This will be perhaps the only low rating I give to a place and still want to go back. Love the concept as the Boston area needs something different but it seems they wen the same way as everyone else being a really pricey gastro-pub. Ended up getting the Pretzel, told them to toss the mustard and give me butter ... sorry but you guys need not to do it American style and for $8 I expected a fresh pretzel, it was a bit chewy but still good ... not for $8 though and I won't get it again.

The food menu is laughable, $21 for entree of SpƤtzle ... are you friggin kidding me? It's $3.99 at Karl's Sausage Kitchen for a side. Yes, it is a side ... who told them it can be and entree?

Beer selection is pretty unique but perhaps the most expensive in the city, Schneider Original Weisse for $12 / 16oz pour?

The only saving grace, the only reason I'll be back is that they serve liters of Weihenstephaner Lager ... for $16 which is more expensive that Brooklyn. Ends up being a little less and fifty cents an ounce. Perhaps next time I will just get the $5 Polish lagers and fill the liter mug up with them.

Knowing I'll be back I'll have to remember to eat 1st and this is what we deal with in the Boston area.

Here is a place that will be as close to a German restaurant as you can get outside of Germany. The beers match the theme with many authentic imports from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland--mostly lagers, naturally. There are American microbrews as well, but this is the place to get some hard-to-find as well as common continental offerings.

The food is German with schnitzels, spatzle, and various home-made sausages. All around goodness.

In the summer they have a secluded patio available on the side to enjoy the weather.

Ate dinner here on Sat night. Very cool European tavern vibe inside. Tight seating though. Service was good throughout the night. Food was excellent. Lots of delicious sausages and other meats, of course. The beer list was all Central and Eastern Euro. Some I have seen, others were very unique. All served in dimpled mugs. Prices for food and beer was a bit on the high side, but that was expected so not a surprise. Bronwyn delivered what I wanted: a beer and meat centered meal, and they did it in great fashion.
