Appearance: Canned on 01/15/15. Poured a hazy dark amber, almost brown color. Pretty slight head, even with an aggressive pour, but retained a nice film that left lacing to the end of the glass.
Smell: Predominantly sweet malt, with some grassy hop aromas.
Taste: Nice balance of malt and bitterness, slightly leaning to the sweet side, with some slight citrus notes.
Mouthfeel: Thinner than what I expected from the color, with very nice carbonation.
Overall: This was a pretty good IPA, from a new brewery. I like what these guys are doing.

I love this beer. It smells hoppy, and the first taste to hit my tongue is hops, but that quickly fades as the maltiness kicks in and finishes. Great taste!

a pretty pedestrian ipa here, really pale amber in color and quite thin in body. there is a rather bold hop flavor, but it ends up being mostly bitterness. there is no hop texture at all, no resinous west coast thing, no hazy richness, nothing at all. there isnt enough grain to match up with all the bitterness, despite its color, and it seems unbalanced and overly minimalist. that said, there is also a perception out there that colorado springs is a little behind where denver is at in terms of craft beer penetration, and that its all still a little new down there. perhaps the idea here was to make an introductory level ipa, something lighter and less intense than the norm, or one that might look a little more approachable to those not comfortable or familiar with the style yet. if thats the mission, this starts to seem a little better, but its never going to satisfy the real hop head out there, just way too one dimensional. curious to hear what others think about this one. looks like they have started canning it too...

IPA – Deep amber-brown in appearance, light carbonation, one finger of white head.
Powerful aroma: sweet caramel malt, and light floral and grapefruit. Initial sweetness, followed by plenty of hops, nicely balanced with malt, reminiscent of Sam Adams Irish Red. Excellent palate, medium body = a very good IPA!
