Very Good
Notes: To celebrate collaboration and support other Queens businesses, we’ve partnered with Native Coffee Roasters to blend a custom cold brew coffee for this medium-bodied coffee pale ale. Delicious butterscotch and toffee aromas with flavors of tiramisu, orange and coffee.

Crowler filled at Brew and Co, Bedford, NY.

Pours hazed darker and rudy looking amber, lasting light oat meal cap

Sniff of maple malts, oatmeal, cafe au lait

On the palate its complex and tasty stuff, with notes again of more maple, vanilla, oats, light coffee....tasty tasty tasty...well worth a try

Hazy golden color. Peppery roasty coffee. not much of a stout or pale ale. Did not enjoy.

On tap at Crescent and Vine in Astoria. I was excited to finally try something from this picobrewery, but I didn't want to order a second glass. Like Stone's somewhat similar Golden Stout, the coffee and pale malts combined for a roasted peanut butter character. This beer, however, is too bitter and unbalanced (something I rarely complain about) with a wholly unpleasant sharp finish. No thanks.

A "stout" that comes in a hazy golden color.

The beer interestingly enough tastes of bright pepper that I get in many "spicy" stouts. It is not spicy in any sense, but it's a "pepper" flavor. As it warms up, it tastes more of a peppery coffee than just pepper. A decent amount of malt and touch of sweetness to back up the beer.

Slightly single note brew because that pepper flavor is slightly distracting.
