We layered an insane dose of ginger with a combination of other spices to build a deep, entrancing spicy nose that just goes and goes and goes. Below that, we crafted a deep, caramel flavored malt note and backed it up with just enough hop bitterness and aroma to bring the whole beer together. It plants itself solidly in the Winter Warmer territory by topping out 7.3% ABV but it stays a remarkably drinkable beer even at that size.

Pours auburn in color. Not much head retention.
The aroma is mild and sweet.
Huge ginger flavor here. Big candied ginger flavor. It could use a little more balance in the flavor department, but if you like ginger, this beer has it.
This was my first beer from Homestead, but looking forward to more from them soon.

Yeah. That’s a whole lotta ginger. Well made but a bit over the top.

A little overkill on the spices there, champ. At least it's strong

A: The beer is crystal clear dark red in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that left a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of ginger are present in the nose along with hints of nutmeg.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of ginger and notes of nutmeg with a slight amount of sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer makes for a nice holiday beer and isn’t as heavy on the palate compared to other herbed/spiced Christmas beers.

My bro-in-law gave me this one. It poured dark rich mahogany with thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent is a potpourri of xmas blend. The taste follows the scent. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's ok.

It is a clear, dark copper color. Decent light tan head.
Smells like ginger, allspice/cloves, and brown sugar. Not good really.
Tastes like ginger, nutmeg, allspice, a bit of cardamom, and candied sugars.
Decent body. Easy drinking but fuller with some fluffiness to it. Unfortunately one of the better aspects.
Overall, too sweet and overspiced for me. Probably would appeal to mainstream Christmas Ale drinkers, but it is far from one of the better ones even just in Ohio

Ginger heavy. I am a person who can't handle much ginger, if any at all. I couldn't even force this down. If you like ginger, check it out, otherwise stay far far away.
