From tasting notes 02/23/17
Had on-tap @ New Glory Brewing in Sacramento, CA

Appearance - 8oz served into a 16oz snifter. Deep ruby in a tinge of violet. Head is a thin, brown layer of suds with a thick ring around the edge. The brew itself is light tan with a bit of purple bleeding through.

Smell - Prominent blueberry aroma. Faint notes of nuttiness, maple and some 'pancake' sweetness opens up as it warms.

Taste - Follows the nose. Blueberry is prominent and dominates the flavor profile from start to finish. Underlying notes of earthy nuttiness and bready sweetness. Aftertaste rings with blueberry, slightly sweet and tart, with some toasted nut and a hint of batter character, but a bit sweet all things accounted for.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker in the least.

Overall - I applaud them for taking their Flippin' Good and taking it the next step in adding blueberries, but I think they went overboard. Blueberries dominate the aroma and taste for too much of the experience, and though the other flavors surface as it warms, it's still the prominent force. I gotta think scaling back the blueberry addition by 20-30% would be beneficial to the overall concept, but that's just my opinion.
