Five Hills Brewery in Copperas Cove offers a good selection of home brewing equipment, dry and canned beer mixes, bulk malt syrup, dry malt, books, etc. as well as supplies for winemaking. The selection of dry malts is fairly extensive and grinding is available. The store staff are knowledgeable and friendly and are very willing to help novice home brewers; most are home brewers themselves and are clearly interested in promoting the craft. Periodically, classes in beer and wine making are offered - students make a beer or wine in class and take it home. The store is large and well laid-out with space for a classroom and couches and chairs where patrons can relax and converse. Mail order is also available via the website.

This is my home base for brewing beer. I've found the staff varies a bit in thier background in brewing, but always helpful and friendly. They are well stocked in all the basics you could possibly need, and have a pretty good selection of lesser used items as well. Their hop selection is outstanding and they have about 50 grains on hand that they hand measure and grind to your order. I've found thier stuff fresh, clean, affordable and tasty. If your in the area, worth a visit, if you are in the sticks, check the website.
