Released spring 2014; drank 7/6/14 @ the Yarchives.
Murky plum appearance.
Cream head; almost no lace.
Banana, plum, candle wax & caramel nose. Unique!
Thick mouthfeel.
Banana notes up front, with a plum, oak & slight booze finish. As it warms, a garbage water finish asserts itself; started nice but took a turn.
Too bad.

This beer absolutely took me by surprise. It has a depth and complexity that makes this an interesting beer at each sip and turn. Sweet but not too much so, there is a dark fruit undertone and a little oakiness that gives this a good rounded finish.

Pours a nice dark brown with a slight amber hue
nice light head on top
initial taste is a little burnt toffee, you can taste the high abv
aging was well done as it masks the 10% into a fairly smooth, almost session-able ale
finishes with a coffee taste
quite smooth for the abv, malty and decently smooth, rich - would drink again for the buzz
