Brewed exclusively for Marks and Spencer by Harviestoun Brewery.
This amber ale is made with the Simcoe hop, which gives it a fantastically fruity finish with lovely malty undertones

So it does what it says on the bottle with its amber body with reddish hue and splatterings of white microscopic bubbles
the aroma is very subdued, just about picked up peach blossom
the flavour is an unusual mix of Citrus & rosewater
MF & carbonation
Not sure on this one, this is my confused face bro

330ml bottle served into a tulip glass
Look: Light, coppery red with no visible residue or floaty bits - not much to shout about in the head department; there was a fingers width of bubbly, off-white froth which dissipated to almost nothing once pouring was done.
Smell: Fairly muted all round - there's a certain amount of roasted malts and fruitiness with maybe the faintest hint of floral hop lurking in the background.
Taste: What it lacks in smell it makes up for in taste - the malt backbone is more evident, as are the Simcoe hops which give it a nice, fruity, zingy edge. Described by the bottle as having a 'bold, fruity flavour' it's difficult to disagree. So I won't.
Feel: Medium bodied with a crisp, dry feel and a lingering, hoppy aftertaste.
Overall: This is contract-brewed for Marks & Spencer by Harviestoun so you'd expect it to be at least semi-decent. That it is - in fact, it reminds me rather a lot of Harviestoun 'Broken Dial' although I find the taste of the M&S brew rather more agreeable. Readily available in branches of M&S and well worth a punt if you fancy a slightly 'different' amber ale (and it's more readily available than 'Broken Dial'...)
