I would be the first to agree with the previous negative reviews if it were true, but the bottle I had was great. It must have something to do with how the bottle was cellared?

Thanks to jmgrub for sharing this one at GRG1313's tasting.

Batch 1. Bottled 2/10/13.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour with malt, grain, fruit, and funk aromas. Taste is much the same with sour grain, fruit, funk, and Brett flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with a nice balance of sour and Brett aspects all around.

A - Pours a cloudy medium orange with a fizzy off-white head that is gone fast.

S - Funky, pears, green apples.

T - Brett, floral, fruity, very nice. Gumball.

D - Good carbonation with a light body.

O - Sweet fruit-flora and very nice. I loved it.

Bright blonde body with light white head. Tiny bubble on the surface but the head leaves quickly. Some bright citrus notes, floral esters on the nose. Not getting much oak or flavors from the barrel in the body. This drinks very clean. The body is well made and bright on the palate. The taste has some almost cidery notes of tart apples and some earthiness. Definitely a bit of funk on the finish, that really balances the brightness and light tartness on the front end. Easy to drink, and I wouldn't hesitate to have a full glass should the option present itself.
