750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep orange. Medium white head.

Smell - Musty brett. White wine. Some toasty malt.

Taste - White wine is stronger here. Buttery and a bit of vinegar up front. Brett is strong, too. Toasty malt.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Moderate sourness.

Overall - Good, but doesn't blow me away like I expected from the reviews.

Pour is deep amber, almost copper in color, fairly hazy with a mostly tight light tan head and some medium size bubbles on top. Nose has quite a bit of mineral, light salt, notes of citrus and some tangerine. Taste has a lot of mineral, tangerine and hints of citrus mid palate, faint oak, salt kicks in with more lingering mineral and notes of the tangy yeast they use. Finish is slightly acidic with a touch of citrus. Body is lighter, carb is a touch stingy, quite dry.

Thanks to Sheldon for pulling out all the stops and always bringing some Side Project bottle to every March Madness, I would have never tried these had he not.

Pours a yellow with deeper citrus like colors and a nice head, white formation, that is 2/3". Aroma was tart lemons, apple grove sourness. Taste had that white wine barrel and brett funk thing going along with that acidity and sourness. Pretty good carbonation and mouthfeel on it.

While I enjoyed the beer, I thought it was similar to Upland in its acidity and sour terms, but because of who knows why, limited bottle numbers, it seems to get a pass in the neckbeard community. I mean, its a good beer, but its far from perfect or the inflated scores I often see in here otherwise for such a beer. Good yes, great no.
