Bottle at SP 2018 Anni.
Pours pitch black. Nose is very subtle cinnamon, chocolate, some bourbon and wood notes. Taste is somewhat muted cinnamon, chocolate, bourbon, oak, getting mild vanilla on the back end. Cinnamon kicks up a bit when this warms. Overall, I would guess this one has fallen off a bit since its initial release. Hate to knock a beer for that, but at least at the time of drinking, flavors seem muted, particularly the cinnamon.

bottle at Brewery 5th anniversary party
bottle again at the SP beers & bites 2019
both of these bottles were off… tasted like a bad bottle of BA 17 from perennial, which i love that beer but this tasted minty and almost metallic. i don’t think it was like this upon release as most reviews / ratings seem to be stellar but boy has this aged horribly. or it was stored improperly but i find that hard to believe since both bottles were purchased from and consumed at the brewery.
