So much fruit in the nose: raspberry, cherry, pear, strawberry, among others. Some funk to go with in the smell as well, just beautifully rustic. Taste was jammy and juice-like, both in flavoring and composition. All of those fruits with lingering light funk and wine elements create a satisfying brew. Doesn't have the acidity or sour punch that some of their other beers do, but you don't really miss it, excellent beer.

It has been a while since I've given a SP beer an all around 5, but this one is definitely worth it. I sure hope that Cory does more of these blends in the future. Pours an almost violet with minimal head. Fruit on the nose, blends with a funk for a truly outstanding aroma. The flavor is superb. The raspberry is dominant, but there is a hint of cherry sweetness to the brew. It still retains a tart profile, with enough carbonation to pop in the mouth. Brilliant.

750ml capped bottle. Snifter glass. Big darker purple body, beautiful medium pink head, good retention, bit of lacing. Smell is bright cherry flesh, some cherry skin tartness, bright lemony acetic acidity, a bit of oak, a lot of funk with a tart raspberry bakground. It's essentially Hommage, I think, with a different brand of funky leather to it that is distinctly Side Project in nature. Flavour is a nice harmony of cherry and raspberry fruit tartness, with a nice tart lemon, bit of leather, moderate funky hay and a vinous oak presence. Delicious funky fruit bomb. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, soft yet effervescent and incredibly drinkable. A very enjoyable fruited coolship beer. It is Missouri's answer to Drie Fonteinen's Hommage.

L: A bit more translucent than I would have hoped for - regardless, beautiful cherry, crimson, and grape hues with a frothy white/pink head
S: Tons of fresh fruit (montmorency/balaton cherries, ripe raspberries) and a mild funk
T: Incredible balance between fruit forward and that classic Side Project crisp saison finish; mild acidity for my palate
F: Medium bodied and smooth
O: World class saison and one of the best I've had from Side Project. Cory absolutely nailed this one - very well done

this is incredible stuff, probably my favorite of the various pulling nails blend. shared at the brewery yesterday and just downright delicious. you expect a lot from a $45 bottle of beer, and this one delivers. the color is impossibly red, deep brick to fire engine red, almost unnatural looking under a light airy pinkish head that settles back quickly. its amazing, i can see pieces of raspberry in here, definitely quite a bit of sediment in this, but its straight fruit pulp from what i can gather, and as such a turn on more than a turn off. it smells and tastes just as good as it looks, raspberry in front of cherry for both senses, but a cool interplay between the two fruits. at first when its real cold its almost straight juice with a little of the wild sourness, but the beer aspect opens up a lot as the temperature comes up. i end up with mature wood and both white and red wine elements, plums and berries, peaches even too. i appreciate a cool wild aspect to this, less sour than their beers have been trending lately despite its maturity, and more of a cool farmy wildness, the coolship aspect of the blend coming out i would think. not much grain flavor to this but it does have a bit of body to support all its flavor and the alcohol that is here. nice carbonation for not having a big head on it, intense fruit saturation but all so natural, better than almost anything in its class, if it isnt just in a class of its own. one of their better beers i have ever had really, a pleasure to share this with my friends i was traveling with! a rad cap to a great road trip!

Pours a deep crimson color. Whitish pink head that dissipates quickly. Nose is sweet berries, oak, yeast, jam. Taste is tart berries, fruit juice, strawberry jam, wood, some funk. It's tart and acidic, but not puckering. Fantastic balance on this one. Overall, the best Saison/wild ale I have tasted from SP. Absolutely fantastic.
