Notes:
Blended barrel-aged imperial stout with toasted coconut, Sump Mexican Montealban coffee, vanilla beans and a touch of freshly ground cinnamon.
A collaboration with our friends at The Veil Brewing, WeldWerks Brewing and Other Half Brewing. We each selected barrels for this blended base and then treated individually with our own combination of adjuncts! The final blend was aged in a variety of barrels (Weller 6, 7 & 12 year, Blanton's, Rittenhouse Rye, Old Fitzgerald) for a range of 12 to 37 months.

Pitch black body with a tan cap that fades into a ring. Rich barrels with molasses, rye, toasty oak, vanillins and caramel in nose with cinnamon, dark roast coffee, and coconut integrating on the backend, developing into a lush combination. Taste is excellent as well! The barrel depth is impressive, inviting the adjuncts, chocolate, and caramel right on in, the cinnamon in particular bonds so well, coconut meshes to form a decadent finish. Feel is lush, full, smooth, warm, yet has the cinnamon spice, coffee deep roast, and coconut saturated smoothness, all the while never losing the rich and complex barrels. The hype is real on this one, blown away

750 mL bottle. Inky black. Smells of cinnamon, coconut, vanilla, lots of sugar. Tastes of coconut, vanilla, and cinnamon. Lots of sugar. Bourbon and cinnamon linger. Heavy, sweet, but not quite as aggressive as other SP stouts. Good, surprisingly.

Neck and neck with Chemtrailmix, but the heavy coffee and richness from the coconut help to balance out the base stout and spice. Surprisingly beat out all the other Side Project cinnamon beers today.

Bottle.
Light tan head. Not much. Still ish. Black color. Oil thiccc.
Oreo cookies, coconut, vanilla, fudge, chocolate, oak, bourbon. Some cinnamon. Thick and vicious, but enjoyable at the 6 oz pour.
This is decadent and dessert like but not Weldwerks thick. Absolutely incredible. Amazing barrel.

poured from a 750mL bottle into a snifter. pours pitch black, thick, oily, with zero head to it. whiskey barrel and cinnamon seem most prominent on the nose with chocolate frosting and coconut in the background and coffee in the more distant background. taste chocolate coconut coffee with spiked with whiskey and topped with cinnamon. it’s a nice blend of all the adjuncts and the barrel although i’d prefer more coffee and less cinnamon. exquisitely thick mouthfeel as per usual with SP stouts. it’s almost like a spiked, more sweet than spicy (coconut instead of chili peppers) Mexican hot chocolate coffee. very tasty stuff.

Pours black with a finger of khaki foam. Aroma is big coconut, even after opening the bottle. Coconut is accented and accentuated by vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate, toffee, coffee and roasty and toasty malts. Huge aroma, with a dynamic and balanced blend of sweet and spice on top of the heavy roasty and toasty malts. It doesn't smell hot, but does radiate some bourbon and whiskey notes at the end. Flavor profile is, again, driven by coconut; however, here it's folded into the mix more subtly. It's still the dominate feature, but not a prominent statue out front. Swells of vanilla bean, chocolate, cinnamon, toffee, coffee, and roasty and toasty malts crash across the tongue, all the while being driven by sweet coconut. Coconut comes across more firm in shape and texture, not the cloying syrup vibe some coconut flavor additions give. There is a touch of heat at the end via bourbon and whiskey. It's not so much hot as it is just a change in temperature, or a shift in focus, right at the end. Mouth feel is decadent. It's thick, creamy, viscous, and full. Overall, flavor additives have been used well to accentuate and accent a phenomenal, hearty base stout. Add in some quality bourbon and whiskey to the mix and this makes for one delicate sipper.
