375ml bottle. Thanks JR. Poured into a mini-snifter 8/9/2014.
A- Darker brown-reddish body, half finger white head with fair retention, not much lacing.
S- Wow. Smells like a ton of lacto, just like every other Side Project beer I've had; with the exception of a nice touch of blueberries. Really, really good stuff considering that blueberry is a subtle fruit. It's not Blueberry Flora, though, but I can't complain.
F- More tart than fruity; some maltiness mixed in with a very lactic sourness with a nice parotid-shivering vinegar finish that carries through. It's got a lot of shock value, I'll tell ya that much. More of the blueberry comes across here vs Blueberry Flora, though.
M- Medium in body, well carbonated and substantial. Finish is that pleasantly acidic salivary gland killer.
O- Very good, I'm not sure its worth what it trades for, but I'm very glad to have tried this one. Very good stuff, but I'm starting to get the sense that Side Project has that particular lacto flavour in all of their beers so far.

Another surprised tasting at the Side Project Brewery's 1 year Anniversary party. Pours a reddish hue, but there is an influence of blue in there. By now, I will echo other people's reviews in that there is just a hint of blueberry on the back end. Still packs a tart punch though. I enjoyed this one immensely,

S - Dark blueberry juice. Smells of tart blueberries and funk like a wet blanket
T - Tart lemon juice, soft blue cheese funk, and tart blueberry. The finish is tart with a lingering lemon juice presence
M - Lots of carbonation in a lively mouthfeel that tickles the tongue. Leaves a tart, dry finish on the tongue
O - Overall, this is a really good and tart sour full of fresh blueberry juice. I was really impressed by this and thought it was one of the better blueberry sours that I've ever had. Usually, blueberry sours don't have a lot of blueberry presence but this one was loaded with juicy blueberry goodness
