From tasting notes 10/26/17
Had on-tap at Iron Bay Taproom in Marquette, MI

Appearance - Served up in a 14oz snifter, dark rusty orange in color with a thin , broken layer of suds found floating atop and a thin ring around the edge. Lacing is solid, with webbing and spotting making up the bulk of it. 4.25

Smell - Aroma is interesting -  citrus hops met by some fruity, slightly tropical undertones. Hint of pineapple. Apple? Malts sit well beneath, but a touch of breadiness and maybe some caramel can be found. 4

Taste - Citrusy upfront before some floral and earthy hop character emerges. Slight estery fruitiness. Faint, non-descript malt sweetness. Finish is citrusy, and leaves a lingering pith bitterness in the aftertaste. 3.75

Mouthfeel - On the fuller side of medium-bodied with low carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.

Overall - A pretty good DIPA. Nothing that stands out but certainly a fine drinker.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 10/26/16, had 12/13/16. Have had before.

Pours a nice looking copper/orange color, pretty clear, with a half inch head and some loose lacing. The aroma is lots of citrus- orange, mango, grapefruit, some lemon and pineapple. Light malt, a little brown sugar, a bit dank as it warms. Black pepper in the head when fully warmed. The taste continues the big citrus-orange, grapefruit, pineapple, some lemon, a good amount of brown sugar, malt, caramel. A light bitterness up front, a little earthy on the finish. Smooth, well carbonated, a good, medium body.

Great citrus, the brown sugar is flavorful and mellows the hops, while not making this overly sweet. This might not be at the top of the class, but it's one I really just enjoy drinking. Well worth a purchase.

Golden copper color, minimal hop haze, light tan head. Hoppy aromas, plus some sweetness from the brown sugar.

The taste is piney, resins hops and the brown sugar. This beer is dangerous - the brown sugar smooths this out to the point that you forget you're drinking a 9% ABV DIPA. Just a delightful beer.
