Bottled on 2/25/15.Pours into an impy nonic a hazed tangerine-like color with a thin white head atop.A mix of deep citric hops and big caramel malts in the nose,a battle between hoppy sharpness and sweet maltiness. The palate shows much more hoppy notes than maltiness, grapefruit sharpness along with a bit of pine over top of a doughy biscuit maltiness. As I drink more the sharp hoppiness magnifies. The sweetness wich seems big up front never gets to big, love the hop profile.

Golden orange with a good white foamy head. Smell is of citra hops grassy resiny hops, grapefruit, citrus, a bit or earth. The taste is some malt and earth, a nice bit of grapefruit bitter and citrus. Not the best double IPA I've had especially with such a robust hop profile that doesn't seem to pull through much complexity at all.

The smell on this is great, but all of the hops in the nose, don't hold up in the taste. The flavor profile is slightly off balance, being a little on the malty side for my tastes, with a solid citrus/grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Very good beer.
