Copenhagen 26/7 2021. 44 cl can from SuperBrugsen, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. Ølsnedkeren's usual can design in orange with an Aztec pyramid as motif.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a light beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover much of anything. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, cake-like, sugary odor mingling with a bit of dark alcohol. Brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, cocoa, lactose, dark liqueur.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, creamy, slightly viscous, fat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a burning undertone. Lingering. Finish is sugary with a notable burn.
They strike a delicate balance between the overly sweet and the buning chili. Nice one.
