12oz can from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 16.99/ 4 pack. Canned 4/19/18. Served in a Three Taverns teku. Enjoyed 4/29/18.

Pours black with about a finger of thick tan head. The bubbles shrink to a thin haze around the edges with a full crown that still leaves no lacing.

Inviting aromas of coffee, maple, chocolate, faint banana, a little roast and a hint of meaty bacon.

Tastes of coffee, maple syrup, cooked caramel, mild banana, dark chocolate, milk sugar and an occasional whisper of smoked fatback.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Coffee and maple glazed bananas Foster linger in the bittersweet finish.

Three Taverns has created a fun and flavorful new chapter for the breakfast stout. Of course the coffee has a staring role but the maple and banana complements take it to a delicious new level. Fingers crossed that this returns and eventually even gets a barrel treatment.

I'm a sucker for these novelty beers. Milk stouts are supposed to be sweet, but the maple is a bit overpowering. I get lots of maple and some coffee. Maybe a smidge of banana and a hint of bacon smoke. I wouldn't mind if the banana and bacon were a bit stronger. But at least this beer doesn't taste gross like others that have tried to replicate this flavor profile.

Thanks to Ravenforbeer, no caning date.
Pours a decent mocha colored fizzy head that fades fairly quickly, a bit of lacing and decent legs, pitch black beer

Nose erupts out of the can, loads of maple, some dark chocolate cocoa, banana, a touch of smokey bacon but covered in maple like candied bacon on top of dark chocolate banana ice cream sundae, even a touch nutty, although the bacon perception might just be the smoke and maple combination, then some fresh coffee later on top of all that

Taste brings loads of maple again, a bit overboard maybe, quite sweet like sticky maple syrupy, a bit of smokey bacon but not a ton again maybe just my mind adding the maple and smoke, I even get like a touch of pancakes with maple syrup, mild creamy lactose sugar milk stout in there, a touch of dark chocolate and more nutty notes, some bitter roast later with a touch of coffee, not a ton of banana but a touch on the back end

Mouth is fuller bod, creamy rich, decent fizzy carb, just a hint of alcohol

Overall pretty nice, maybe a bit overboard on the maple, def not enough bacon but smoke and maple make my mind fill it in a bit, perhaps the banana was a bit light on the taste as well, but still very nice beer, the nose was awesome and maybe a touch more bacon smoke and banana bumps it to 4.75 easily, and similar to taste to bump

Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up with a can of this. No canning date.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice dark dark brown almost black with a big two finger mocha head that faded slowly to leave very light side lacing along with a thin wispy head and light halo.

S - Huge aromas of maple syrup, almost some fudgy chocolate brownie notes, little bit of sweet bananas. The coffee is quite pleasant and rich. The only real knock is I don't get the bacon aspect. If there is supposed to be a smokey element the maple drowns it out.

T - Taste is almost maple cream like. Decent amount of sweetness, sweet amber maple syrup. Very nice coffee notes, more like a mocha than 'dark roast' or coffee grounds. I get a little bit of sweeter banana. Again, I'm not getting any bacon elements, no smokiness from it. Definitely smells, and tastes, like some banana french toast soaked in maple syrup with an iced mocha coffee.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, creamy, alcohol hidden nicely. Good body.

O - Overall this was a very, very nice milk stout. You omit the 'bacon' from this and the numbers all increase by .25. The milk/sweet stout worked as a solid base for the maple and coffee. The banana played in to it as well with it's subtly.

12 ounce can - Charlie's Beer & Wine in Marietta, Georgia.

A small smudge where the dater failed.

Appearance: Pours a deep, dark black body with just barely an inch of thickish, dark tan-hued foam.

Smell: Shooting off deeply aromatic notes of inky black coffee and sugary, sweet-scented maple syrup and that's even just pouring the thing out. Leaning in, some smokiness, hinting of the purported bacon. Roasty, chocolaty malts, too. Slight fruitiness, likely a combination of the yeast esters but also the coffee. Not really getting any of the 'nana.

Taste: Roasty forward coffee and darkened malts and bakers chocolate for a somewhat bitterish start though you are hinted to, even treated to some maple syrup sweetness that quickly turns the dial to being straight-up 'whoa, thems is sweet'. The sugary maple element holds rather firm, friends, with a little inkling of hickory-ish smoke showing through and some fruity esters coming forward (maybe some 'nana lurking in amongst them, I suppose). Somewhat thinning finish, semi-dry.

Mouthfeel: Medium body. Lightly carbonated.

Overall: Decent.

12 ounce can, with no date observed. Poured into tulip.
Pours a very dark brown with light tan head. Head receded quickly to just a small ring around the perimeter.
The nose is maple, smoke, coffee, graininess. Almost like a rustic grain French toast. The glass is a good foot away from me as I type and I still get all of that. The taste follows the nose. Huge maple French toast, coffee and smoke. If I really think about it I can stretch the taste to a banana French toast soaked in syrup. Slightly cloying at the end but nothing to detract from the beer. It's a complete breakfast in a can. The mouthfeel is a little thin but carbonated lightly, makes for a highly drinkable beer. Haven't come across too many beers that do exactly what's listed on the can. It's well done.

look: Almost completely opaque dark dark brown. No head to speak of.
smell: Damn, smells like a maple pancake breakfast with bacon, and coffee. Maybe a small portion of bananas to say you had fruit.
taste: almost as stellar as the nose with the same flavors though not quite as sharp. A damn fine beer.

Given this beer style as a heavily adjuncted breakfast style milk stout, it’s hunnits 100. I’m not someone that seeks these out often but this tastes and smells exactly like what it says on the can, possibly minus the banana. Smells of maple convered bacon with a cup of coffee next to it. Taste follows the nose. It’s def sweet and slightly medium thin body. And zero head, which is cool with me. Wish I had a few of these around throughout the colder months. Nice job three caverns! Not easy to get these flavors in a beer so distinctly, especially the maple.

Thankfully the bacon doesn't take over here. While it's a bit smoky, it mostly comes across as smoked maple, with a deep coffee and a tasty roasted malt in the medium body finishing semi-wet.
