A-Deep dark brown...flat...looks like a flat coke

S-Subtle but aroma...milk chocolate...light vanilla

T-Definitely a sweet stout...I really like the flavors....fudge...cream...light vanilla...caramel....a bit of espresso....very tasty and unique for the style...

F-Medium bodied...a little slick....not oversweet though..carbonation is not as bad as it looked in the glass but could use a slight bump up..

O-Love the flavors of this one. Not traditional but tasty.

Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It smelled of dark chocolate, toffee and toasted caramel. Nice bittersweet chocolate flavors with sweet caramel and toffee.

Thanks to irish-hawkeye (Reddit) for this one, a bit old but hopefully still good, bottled 11/25/14.

Pours a light fizzy off-white head that fades fairly quickly, decent lacing, just about pitch black color.

Nose brings creamy dried lactose, plenty of milk chocolate, little cocoa dust, some robust porter darker malts, little caramel, hint of a roasty like black malt but not really roasty, chocolate syrupy.

Taste brings a little roasty black malt note, but not much again and not really roasty, bitter dark malts, with creamy dried lactose, plenty of milk chocolate, some rich cocoa and even a little hot fudge, touch of caramel, whipped cream and fudge sunday like, a touch of earthy hop note. Finish is dry, lingering creamy dried lactose, more milk chocolate and cocoa, decent earthy grassy hop bitterness.

Mouth is med bod, creamy, decent carb.

Overall pretty nice, held up well, nice cocoa, milk chocolate, lactose, and touch of hops, tasty.

Great beer. The look and feel are truly like a nitro milk stout. Great roasty, sweetness with hints of alcohol, vanilla bean and toasted coconut. Truly impressed with this beer.

12oz, bottled on 01 19 16
A - cola-like dark brown body with a thin tan head that holds decent retention
S - roasted barley, caramel, dark chocolate, cream, vanilla & very faint bourbon
T - vanilla, chocolate, creamed coffee, roasted barley, earthy hops, faint bourbon in the background adds complexity
M - medium body, ample carbonation, finishes well balanced
O - I really like this one. Very similar to a home brew I did, which provoked me to try this.

12 fl oz bottle sealed with West O pressure cap.

bottled on date of 01/19/2017.

poured into HF wine stem.

Appearance: Black body with a thick cap of off white head which quickly drops down to no head and spotty lacing.

Smell: milk chocolates, vanilla beans, lactose sugars, and light roasty malts.

Taste: Milk chocolates, vanilla, and oatmeal. Light roasty character and moderate sweetness with a light lingering bitterness in the finish.

Mouthfeel: light bodied stout. low yet adequate carbonation. Very very subtle booze. Extremely drinkable stout with nice flavors. Could use a tad bit more thickness in the body of the beer.

Overall: This is my first beer from this brewery. This is indeed a fantastic stout! I would have this beer on a regular basis if I could. It is very well crafted stout.

Really tasty chocolate stout. A bit sweet to be a session beer or a beer I would want a full pint of, but a delicious 6 to 8 ounce after dinner treat.

Thanks to LiverBelly for sharing this one at Wowcoolman's tasting.

Bottled on: 7/2/15.

Pours an almost opaque super dark orange-brown with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, and Tootsie Roll aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, and Tootsie Roll flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid chocolate aspects all around.

Serving type: bottle.

L (4) – This beer is a nice dark color. Not much head to speak of, really.

S (3.75) – You get a slight smell of what you’d expect-coffee,caramel,chocolate. Key word is slight. I like a little more.

T (4) – Well the taste is about what the smell indicates. A nice pleasant stout. Nothing to get too excited about, but very nice.

F (4) – Good mouthfeel. Carbed appropriately and smooth to drink.

O (4) – I’d heard a lot about this beer. I feel it is a solid beer, but not quite “drive all over the city” good. I’d definitely drink this again, and will rotate into my cellar from time to time.
