12oz bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 8.99/ 4 pack. Best by 7/24/16, bottled 1/24/16. Served in a Barrel and Barley teku.

Pours a brilliant orangish chestnut with a finger and a half beige head. The bubbles recede to a few small, patchy islands across the surface and a modest ring that imparts some scattered specks of lace.

Bold, bright aromas of oranges, pine and grapefruit, with some supporting floral and caramel notes.

Flavor opens up similar to the nose. Pine, orange peel, grapefruit, flower petals, caramel and a respectable slap of alcohol.

Moderately resinous, medium full feel with gently tingling carbonation. Lingering, bitter aftertaste of citrus rind, pine, floral and subtle caramel.

After enjoying Hoot'n & Holler'n the few times I've seen it on draft over the past couple years I was happy to see this make it to bottles. Jekyll has a nice, assertive doupble IPA with a pleasant blend of pine, citrus and mild caramel.

Dark burnt orange with an off white to tan head. The beer leaves decent lacing as it is consumed. The aroma is citrus, caramel sweetness and pine. The taste is mainly sweet with notes of orange and a quite aggressive hop finish. The balance seems nice but the taste is not super complex. Nice dry finish and moderate carbonation.

A - Burnt honey, tan head, good lacing.

S - Straight pineapple Christmas tree.

T - Balanced, honey and spicy-pine.

M - Surprisingly light and refreshing, I was expecting a much chewier beer based on the color.

O - An outstanding DIPA, but comparatively just a hair below Hop Dang. Keep up the good work Jekyll!

Awesome beer. Was lucky enough to knock a couple of these back while I was on Lake Lanier. This is a great beer, from a great brewery. Would recommend Jekyll beers to all my friends, and specifically speaking about this one it is on the stronger side, but thats how it should be.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle with a 26 February 2017 BB date into a Creature Comforts glass. Just a little sediment in the bottom of the bottle.

Appearance: Pours a clear copper color with some rising carbonation bubbles. Frothy, off-white head that settles slowly and leaves some sticky lacing.

Aroma: Hoppy with a mix of herbal. fruity, and evergreen aspects.

Flavor: Hoppy but with less evergreen and less bitterness than the aroma suggests. Hints of caramel, citrus fruits and baked bread.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate-high amount of crisp carbonation.

Overall: relatively drinkable DIPA with moderate bitterness. Recommended.

After having tasted my first Goose IPA, Jekyll's Hoot'n & Holler'n was a refreshing reminder of what an IPA should be. It delivered both a sweetness as well as a hop punch. Basically, an IPA should taste good up front without having to search for it.

Very good DIPA, very smooth and not overly hoppy.
