Notes: IPA’s are known for their hops, so we thought we’d give it something new. We tapped refreshing pineapple and habanero for the bill. Hops and pineapple mesh together like a fine linen- then just a touch of heat from the habanero for something truly special.

Strong pinnaple nose and some sweet tangerine and flowers lavender very smooth hopp
Taste orange juice with that pinnaple and then leafy hops garden/vegetal from the pepper and some kick that balances out the malt body
Full mouth like a hazy that is balanced with the spice that isn’t overwhelming

Good opaque sunburst color, balanced IPA. Great spice balanced by pineapple flavor. Harkens to Monday Night Serrano IPA (that one had no sweetness to offset the spice)

I had this beer on my vacation last summer and absolutely loved it. Great taste with a little kick from the Habanero. This summer, I planned my trip to stop at Jekyll Brewing and I will pick up some product,

Has a nice head, but was a little fizzy while pouring. It pours cloudy, and has a good taste. It's a typical citrus/chili combination, but finishes too quick. You can sense the pineapple, but the habanero is too hard to spot - needs more, like Sculpin Habanero, or even the Serrano Eye Patch Ale.
Enjoyable, but I'll buy Sculpin Habanero if I'm looking for heat.

Poured from a bottle into IPA glass.
Took several attempts to pour full bottle, lots of off white frothy foam, pillowy as head subsides, considerable lacing. Smell is tropical. Taste is substantial pineapple and grapefruit, some piney hops. Minor heat from peppers but it is certainly there. Best of the Jekyll's obtained in a trade.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass.
A: an aggressive pour yields a frothy white 2 finger foam head, stringy lacing, hazy golden orange body
S: pineapple, citrus, pepper, chili, pine
M: medium body with semi dry finish
T: pineapple, tropical fruit, if you let it sit on your tongue you will taste the habanero pepper, citrus, hop, light piney resin, vegetal from the pepper
O: great brew with a touch of heat, slightly on the sweeter side

Pours an almost clear deep gold with some effervesce streaming from the bottom. The pour produces 4+ fingers of somewhat lasting, frothy, chunky & soap bubbly, off-white head that leaves lots of clumpy lacing. Aroma is superbly fruity, with tropical fruit, tangerine, orange & grapefruit among lots of pine in a background of grainy caramel malt, egg whites, leafy floral/vegetal & chili. Taste is citrus forward dominated by pineapple, orange & grapefruit with vegetal & pine hints. Malty caramel, pie dough, vegetal, black pepper, chili pepper & heat appear just prior to & in the dry finish. Aftertaste is dry, citrus pith, malt, vegetal, chili & light heat. The chili pepper heat is not overpowering as is the case with some of the other chili pepper brews released released over the past few years. In fact it very reserved for a Habanero brew. I find it much to my liking. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, a little slick on the tongue, prickly, light chili pepper heat & dry. I found my single tasting/rating experience with this beers non-chili namesake, Hop Dang Diggty, to be off putting due to a plastic/phenolic note. Based on my experience the Pineapple Habanero version I need to give it another try.

Spicy heat, pineapple, citrus, mango, hops
Pineapple, habanero, grass, bread
Very hot and acidic feeling. light carbonation
It's a novelty beer. too spicy to drink too many of, but interesting

Had on tap at Twisted Taco. Not what I was expecting at all. Almost no flavor almost as if it were watered down and absolutely no heat (nothing like habanero sculpin). Very disappointed.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a cloudy orange gold with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma had a faint smell of citrus (maybe pineapple) and some hops. The flavor had very little heat and had a very watery flavor to it. I was completely disappointed. I enjoy most Jekyll Brews but this one missed.

look: poured from 12oz bottle into chalice. hazy orange gold with foamy two finger off-white head. Great lacing
Smell: pine, pineapple, grapefruit, black pepper, fresh orange
taste: piney hops, not a lot of pineapple in the taste. finish is pepper and orange juice
feel: medium body, soft and slick
overall: I love Jekyll Hop Dang Diggity, and it is probably one of my favorite beers. This is an interesting and tasty take on it. The pineapple aroma and peppery finish complement the piney, citrusy hops very well.

Pours a weird shade of orange with a huge 2+ inch white head. Smells of Pineapple, orange, grapefruit and some pepper. taste of the various fruits. There is a tad of the hananero, but honestly if you are going to call this a Habanero brew...bring the damn heat. I couldn't tell this was a habanero from maybe another pepper and I'm a chili head who LOVES heat.

Had this last weekend in a large Stein. Nice balance between the Pineapple and the Habanero, not too much sweet or spice. The hear is much more subtle than some other peppered beers that I have had.

12oz bottle from Barrel and Barley (Woodstock, GA). 1.89. Bottled 2/10/16. Served in a Hopslam snifter.

Between a chill haze and perhaps some cloudiness the pour is a hazy golden orange with almost two fingers of white head. Retention amounts to a thin veneer and fluffy crown that imparts some large swaths of lace.

Smells of mild habenero pepper, grapefruit, pineapple, orange rind and some faint crackery malt.

Tastes of citrus peel, mildly juicy pineapple, mandarins, faint pepper flavor and a subtle crackery malt. The adjuncts are faint but certainly complementary, adding an interesting twist to an already solid IPA.

Slick, medium body with moderate carbonation. Citrus, pineapple and a dull, subtle nip of habenero play on the palate in the finish.

Pineapple and habenero add soft complements to Hop Dang Diggity rather than dominant flavors. I wouldn't mind if they were dialed up a bit but this is a tasty and highly drinkable variation of Jekyll's year round IPA.

Poured from 12oz bottle into glass- golden orange color with a nice foamy head. Smells of pineapple and hops. The taste is easy on the palate with a nice hoppy flavor and the habanero lingers on the backside- but not overwhelming. An overall good beer.

12 oz bottle; apparently very fresh given the August 2016 BB date.

Over-sized, off-white, foamy head over a slightly hazy amber body. The head is durable and leaves a good bit of lacing on the glass.

Aroma: Piney and fruity hops with pineapple bread.

Flavor: Piney hops are not my favorites but the hop load works well in the regular version and even better with the pineapple in this edition. As for the habanero effect, it initially comes across as light pepper and an (otherwise) unexpected light harshness, but the heat builds over time and sips to a reasonable level that doesn't burn but is obvious. Moderate bitterness for style.
