New Mexico is known for a few things; nuclear testing, roadrunners, and aliens. How appropriate that one of those things is covered in a beer name. Unlike other Alien's, this is one which I welcome to Orange County. From a 12 ounce bottle, on to the beer:
The color is sitting at autumn brown with red hues. Above it is an inch of head which drops with a pace to a paper-thin lace and leaves a few marks on the glass. A few whiffs of the aroma and It smells malty with a little rawness that could use extra squeezing. Grainy, some sweetness akin to a marzen, with a squirt of grassy hops, so it's a fair aroma.
Taste is fair. It's not offensive, and it's not the next Nugget Nectar. The flavor is a decent bready maltiness with a kiss of fruity esters, a pinch of bittering hops, and a sweet floral aftertaste. The beer is towards the lighter end of body, with a lower amount of carbonation.
End result; decent amber ale that's no frills and easy to drink. Could be worse; could be a strong, unbalanced mess.

This is a nice light amber color, crystal clear with mild carbonation forming a thick light tan head. The head solely thins out into a layer of light bubbles with a thick wall of lacing. Light wheat and floral aromas come out first. Mild malts and hops flavors come through in even amounts, and the overall taste is rather sweet with a mild bitter aftertaste. The alcohol is well hidden.
Overall, this is a decent beer and worth trying just to add to your list of “I had this Beer!” I would recommend getting this as a single, or if you’re into the whole mixing thing this would be great for a black and red.
