I tried this at Roadhouse in Worthington across from the Ice Works. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of green chili peppers. The taste had hints of fresh green chili. While spice was noticeable it wasn't hot. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good subtle carbonation. Overall it's ok.

Looks like a standard lager. Sweet malt water with a bit of green chili flavor. No spice though which is welcome. Not bad. Expected this to be terrible. It's ok.

Pours a very light clear gold with a quickly dissipating soapy white head and a load of streaming bubbles.

Smell is white bread and some vegetable matter that could be the chili peppers. Not getting a lot of chili spice on the smell.

The taste is like a standard pilsner/lager with a bit of green chili taste on the back of the taste. Again not a lot of chili heat here. The taste of the chili is like a mild green chili.

Mouth feel is very light with a crisp finish. The beer does slowly show some chili warming as it sits on the stomach and after several swallows.

This is a decent chili beer if you are looking for something with more of a mild heat. I admit the beer does have pretty good overall taste and was very easy drinking. The disappearing head was kind of disappointing especially with all of that wild carbonation shooting up. So if you are not up for something real hot and want to try a chili beer this may be a good place to start.

Poured into a small shaker pint glass. Pours a light golden amber with a fizzy half finger head that dissipates in seconds to patches. Aroma of mild sweet bready, lightly grainy malt, green pepper with a light chili hotness. Flavor is very light bready malt with a adjunct profile, with a decent chili pepper burn developing with light green pepper flavor for character. Light bodied with active carbonation. A very light beer, with the friendly, mild malt reminiscent of adjunct lagers and not much character. The chili is mild to moderate and tastes authentic in the burn and green pepper flavors. Pepper is deftly handled, but needs a more robust malt base to present it. Probably a nice light, somewhat hot beer that would taste great with a Mexican meal, but underwhelming as a stand alone ale.

Bottle from Whole Foods-Indian School Plaza. From the get-go, a weak pour, pale golden and minimal head. Aroma of peppers. Stronger in aroma than in taste. Seems that some chilies were added to a pale lager. Nothing too special here, pepper aroma and taste, not even finishing well.

A: Pale yellow, straw color, very little head that dissipates quickly, no lacing

S: Green chile, bread, slight hops

T: Sweet bread and malts, definetly get the green chile flavor but little heat from the chile up front, possibly a slight hoppy bitterness on the end of the taste.

M: Light, little carbonation, as you drink several sips there is a little bit of heat that builds in the mouth

O: I will admit that chile in a beer is not my favorite ingredient. Ive tried a chile beer on one other occasion and I didnt like it. I would never have given this a shot but received it as a gift from a friend when I visited New Mexico. I will say that I liked this one much better than the other chile beer that I tried though.

Poured from a clear 12 oz. bottle. Has a very pale yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some light chile peppers. Taste is surprisingly smooth. Mild chilies, malts, some grains, very easy drinking and without much heat. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall nothing special, but a decent beer.

A: what an awful sight. Looks like bubbly urine. Lack of head on this pour paired with bubbles ascending to surface reminds me of a child's glass of cider at holiday dinner table. Aestheticly pleasing in no way. Disclaimer yea there was half way decent lace afloat the instant I poured however it dissipated quicker than that on a budweiser light or natural ice. C'mon now Im not down with these games.

S: 3 guesses, green chiles. wow. Oh and it's quite potent I may add. Its a novelty but damn good though. They nailed this one. That is the best attribute in my opinion, and by a long shot.

T: Oh my here we go. Green chile dust water. I mean I dont taste the beer, maybe my buds are weak and inexperienced or maybe these folks went overboard and created a flop of a brew. Yea that's what it is. I am glad I just have one, grabbed it at the store in one of those build your own sixers.

O: next purchase would be as a GAG GIFT. at best. but probably not.
