Reviewed from long-standing notes. Poured from a 750 mL bottle into a Cigar City Brewing goblet.

A: Pours a turbid red - almost like strawberry juice. Lots of visible carbonation with a thin pinkish head that fades almost immediately.

S: Pretty low aroma overall. Some light fruitiness with a husky light malt and some lactic tart. But not a big aroma. Of note, the aroma does open up and get stronger as it warms out of the fridge.

T: Despite the low aroma, the flavors explode nicely. Raspberry jam, nicely tart with lactic acid and a mild basement funk. A light malt body with just a hint of graininess on the exhale. Impressions of underripe strawberries, boysenberries, and some lemon citric bite. Tart and acidic fruits last into the hang.

M: While overall a light body, it's a bit on the heavy side for style. Carbonation a bit on the low side for style. Alcohol flavors are minimal.

O: Maybe not the best fruited Berliner you’re gonna have. But it's tasty, drinkable, and still with some layers of complexity and a touch of funk.

750 mL bottle. Hazy bright pink. Smells of lots of raspberry. That's pretty much all it smells like. Taste is very dry. Raspberry. Also pretty much all it tastes like. It's so dry that it has just a bit of rubber in the finish. Very light and dry. Mild sourness. It does have a nice raspberry flavor, though.

Quite enjoyable Berliner. Tart but the raspberry was the star. It dominated the aroma, color and taste. I really wish I had another bottle. This would be a perfect summer beer, very refreshing.

Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a great hazy, murky reddish pink hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps.

S - Aromas of big bold raspberries, albeit chalky. Just huge amounts of raspberry flesh and seeds. Very little Berliner notes

T - Taste is similar to the nose, very nice chalky tones, loads of raspberry, very nice creamy wheat, good raspberry tartness and fresh berries. There is just tons of berries!

M - Mouthfeel is brightly carbonated, crisp, clean, not overly flemmy.

O - Overall this was a very nice raspberry Berliner, just loads of berries here.

Thanks to rudzud for sharing.

Decent fizzy pink head, little lacing, bright murky pinkish reddish color.

Nose big raspberry, fresh fruit and little blended jam, little seed, sweet jammy raspberry with a little tart funk and grainy wheat, little creamy wheat, not much else.

Taste brings sweet like malts, creamy wheat and Berliner wheat, little funk tart thing, sour notes, with plenty more raspberry jam, little seed and funk, nice tart raspberry funk in general. Finish creamy wheat, bitter tannin seed and light funk, little flemmy and raspberry jam.

Mouth is med bod, little creamy, nice carb, light funk.

Overall a very nice raspberry beer bit Berliner characters are overpowered, but otherwise very nice.

I'm a big fan of Angry Chair, but I wasn't crazy about this one. It was over carbonated and that came through in the mouth feel and the flavor. It has a tart raspberry flavor, but a little too prickly and aggressive overall.

Fresh bottle release, bought 3, had two over the weekend, will hold onto the 3rd for a while to see if fruit mellows. Pours a cool looking cloudy creamy pink color with white head. Smells of Raspberries and slight sourness. The taste is overwhelmingly Raspberries but under it you get the sour tartness of the Berliner style. A little too fruity for me, reminds me a lot of Lindemans Framboise but with a nice sour undertone. 4.25
