Had on tap at AC.
Visited end of year 2019
Complex concoction Imperial sweet stout with cacao; coffee; cinnamon ; rum soaked staves and lactose.
Very good stout.
Not necessarily a fan of Tiramisu cake; so nose and taste scores reflect my personal taste.
Regardless this was a beautiful super smooth sipper that integrated and blended the flavors very well.
Top notch!

Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from the 750 mL bottle into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass. Bottling was 2017, consumed on 11/10/17.

A: Pours a very dark dark brown to black, and opaque. This even looks thick while pouring. Forms a half-finger of tan head that lasts wonderfully. A low amount of visible carbonation. Just what you’d expect this to look like.

S: Chocolate and coffee. Vanilla and sweet malts with a moderate roastiness. Some tobacco. A mild caramel and mild nuttiness. Nice for sure.

T: Coffee and dark cacao up front again. Vanilla, caramel, and roasted malts. Tobacco and a mild char to the roast prevents this from being a total sweet bomb. The cinnamon spicy dryness swells near the swallow, and lingers afterwards with some mild oakiness and more vanilla.

M: A nice, big thick sticky body. The alcohol is fairly restrained. The carbonation is low, but that seems to help accentuate the thick sticky body.

O: Really tasty. Chocolate, vanilla, caramel beer-candy. The cinnamon isn’t huge, which is a bit of a surprise, but it’s still there. I believe this was supposed to have “rum-soaked oak” here, and aside from the mild wood near the end I get no rum flavors out of the deal. The bottle description is sparse – so it's possible I’m remembering wrong. But still, quite good.

Pouring stark black ribbons filling glossy black building a moderately tall dense mocha head.

This has a very uniquely toasty yet soft and delicate roast within its moderately full, fluffy body that blends perfectly into the added cinnamon, becoming intertwined and even indistinguishable from each other. The cinnamon is pleasantly measured and complementary without any burning or dusty heavy handed spice, and the roast isn't overly potent and also has features to it that the cinnamon almost mimics, getting along quite well. The lactose provides a vanilla or even rice pudding like character while the roast comes back in the swallow after the semi-dry, slightly warming finish, contributing a Mexican coffee with caramelized brown sugar sort of effect.

This is really delicious, and even balanced. Although it becomes more chocolatey as it warms, it's not the overly sweet pastry stout some of these others are, it's not even really sweet at all. It's just right.

Poured a black body with minimal head and no lace ring. The aroma has touches of chocolate and coffee but is mainly vanilla bean and cinnamon - lots of cinnamon for some reason. Beer has some heat from the high ABV but mainly from the cinnamon aspect which ends up making beer finish hot. The sweetness is more attuned to vanilla and maple than any chocolate notes, and the coffee aspect is minimal at best. Not one of the best from these guys as the version I had seem to kick the spice and heat notion up a notch.

3 oz. sample on tap at Veil Forever Summer Fest.

Only have a Trillium Tiramisu to compare it with and it's close. Solid sweet dairy, vanilla, coffee, cocoa notes and flavors, with coffee most predominant on the nose. Easy drinking for the ABV, solidly constructed. Maybe a bit too sweet?

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a thin mocha head that fades to leave light wisps and a thin halo. Nice legs.

S - Aromas of light chocolate cake, little lady finger like, vanilla cake, light fudge. Some coffee grinds and vanilla beans. Chocolate cake batter too.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, quite sweet, coffee syrup, some nice vanilla, great almost marshmallow, some good chocolate notes as well. Certainly like a rather sweet tiramisu.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, little syrupy. Alcohol hidden nicely.

O - Overall this was a rather solid stout, albeit on the sweeter side. Wouldn't mind things being more aggressive and less sweet.

Nice rich head mocha colored thick head fades at a fair pace, nice lacing, nice legs, pitch black beer

NOse loads of coffee, nutty fresh coffee, a bit cakey like vanilla cake, fudgey notes and a little creamy, a little coconut like note, a bit of caramel, fresh roasted coffee note, swirls blast more fudgey notes and chocolate cake batter with roasted coffee grounds dusted on top

Taste starts sweet and a bit syrupy, thick rich cocoa and fudgey chocolate, a bit of coffee grounds again, fresh coffee, chocolate syrup and a bit of cake batter again, little vanilla, very sweet, a bit of roasted coffee, a bit of a creamy marshmallowy thing that could be construed as marscapone cheese, little perfumey alcohol, touch metallic late, but long chocolate finish

Mouth is heavier bod, alcohol hidden fair well, nice fluffy carb although a bit syrupy

Overall pretty nice, not incredible and not too tiramisu like but decent

Appearance - The beer was black in color with mocha colored bubbles crowning the glass.

Smell - The nose reminded me of fresh baked vanilla cake.

Taste - My initial impression was how smooth the vanilla was. It definitely tasted like cake. Chocolate and vanilla notes run together with a little bit of a liquor presence.

Mouthfeel - The little bubbles made this one extra smooth and creamy.

Overall - This is one of the best dessert stouts I have had.
