Sampled at Cigar City Brewing’s El Catador Club XV bottle share party.
Pours rich and creamy, fine foam.
Smells of Reese’s PB cup, dark roast coffee.
Taste follows, with notes of dark chocolate, peanut butter, I get a dark fruit mid-palate, vanilla, but the fruit note can’t level out the overly sweet and syrupy body of this offering. Had to sip water between tastes.
Feel is really thick, low carb.
Overall, nice adjunct stout in small doses.,. but nothing world changing.

Pours black with a tight, creamy dark tan head that lingers. The nose is sweet milk chocolate and rich peanut butter - and maybe a little more chocolate and peanut butter when you think they’ve faded away.
The milk chocolate flavor is up front, around back, and every angle in between, with a rich peanut butter flavor jumping in mid-palate and hanging around for the rich, creamy mouthfeel finish.
This is a peanut butter cup for beer nerds, and a beer I’d revisit regularly. Delicious stuff, IMHO.

Poured a black body with minimal head and khaki lace around glass. The aroma and taste are pretty much summed up by peanut butter with hint of booze (peanut butter cup?). Creaminess is evident in the medium-heavy body with slight stickiness as you drink. Mostly hidden ABV makes this beer pretty easy to drink and the peanut butter isn't overdone (although I couldn't have more than a couple of these).

The creamy peanut butter has an almost hazelnut character to it, which has me wondering, but I think maybe the cacao lends to that palate confusion. Either way, there's an odd kind of floral weirdness that's not quite working for me, and the thin body, which is crisply carbonated and finishes lightly dry, is not my favorite. It's quite sweet, duh, but sugary and frosting-like though.

poured from a 750mL bottle into an oversized snifter. pours a dense black with fluffy, creamy mocha colored head. smells of rich cocoa and creamy peanut butter. taste is similar with a nice kick of peanut butter and a little bit of dark roast on the finish. mouthfeel starts out full but finishes somewhat watery. overall, a pretty delicious peanut butter stout. nice chocolate notes combine with peanut butter but it’s not super sweet, at least for today’s standards.

Appearance: Arrives coal colored with a modest cap; a few strands linger
Smell: Milk chocolate, caramel and a hint of peanut butter
Taste: Milk chocolate and caramel forward with peanut butter emerging through the middle; the salt from the peanuts linger into the finish but it is still rather sweet
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation
Overall: Good but too sweet for me to enjoy more than a 5 oz sample
