Beer #2000 for me , celebrating the birth of my third grandson today. Welcome Hardison !!!

Brewers Notes: Collaboration with Prairie Artisan Ales. Imperial sweet stout with hazelnut coffee and toasted coconut.

On draft poured into a snifter, deep dark brown liquid , one finger deep brown foam crown good lacings

Aroma is coffee, coconut

Taste is sweet coconut, coffee , hazelnut , the hazelnut taste lingers , coffee taste without the acridness

Smooth , sweet , sudsy

Delicious beer

Look - black and thick with nice tan head and great rimming
Smell - hazelnut butter slight salty
Taste- slightly sweet hazelnut butter and slight salty with some.chocolqte
Feel - medium full body light carb
Overall - great beer but wish it was thicker

 

 

 

 

 

 

One of their best. Thicker than most of their beers and has a great smell. The hazelnut really shines right off the bat with the first sip. You still get some coconut but mainly the hazelnuts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Incredibly smooth, very sweet. Pastry stout. Little coffee, nice coconut. Chocolate tones.

Thicccc! The hazelnut mocha here is intense and fully realized, if not a bit syrupy with cocoa wafers and a viscous, frothy body that's obviously a little sticky on the lips. Pretty delicious...

I had no idea what this beer was going into it but this may be Angry Chairs best non barrel aged beer yet. It has a great, soft nose of hazelnut, coffee, and chocolate. Those are all perfectly blended in the flavor profile and you get a nice level of coconut as well but the thing that sets this beer apart is the mouthfeel. It is velvety smooth especially considering the alcohol content. You'd have no idea that this is 10.5%. This beer was incredible and is definitely worth acquiring.
