I've stopped by here 3 times, and in spite of their excellent food and world-class tap list, I've never thought to review them on BA. That's a testament to just how many wonderful places are crammed into Vermont.

It's right around the corner from Three Penny. The almost always have Heady cans available. The draft is about 15 deep and at least 12 of those are VT locals, usually with 3-4 from Hill Farmstead. They update their tap list regularly on their website, so you don't need to muck about with facebook or twitter.

They get busy at night. Their menu says they won awards for best pizza in all of VT. It's a very good pie, but nothing particularly special by, say, Boston standards. Still, one time I was in western Maine for a job interview and the guy interviewing me said they don't got much there by way of perks. "Why," he said, "if you're looking for a place with delivery pizza, you might be out of luck." That was in a town of like 20,000 people. So maybe good pizza is hard to find in rural New England. I dunno.

Anyhow, the pizza is good and they also got VT fare such as poutine. The decor is semi-formal but the vibe is chill even when it gets busy at night. The beer is great and the service is friendly and, really, you should stop on by.

Stopped in here for a quick drink and a bite to eat. Atmosphere was nice. There are two sections: a pleasantly dark bar up front, and the kitchen area in the back where you can get take-out. Quality was good all over. There was a pretty decent tap list, including the likes of Edward and Sculpin, and if that's not good enough for you, there are several bottles to choose from, including some macros...just in case. I got a specialty pizza, which was definitely tasty and made with some good ingredients. Was it worth $19 for a small thin crust? I don't think so. So yeah, prices were pretty hefty, especially on the food. Beer prices were ok, maybe a little marked up. No complaints about the service. Everyone was friendly and on the ball, though it was Sunday night and not at all busy.

Overall, it's a solid place, and will probably be my go-to venue in Montpelier from now on, as it's a heck of a lot better than the Three Penny (overall...not taplist).

Stopped in here while I was in town for the HF Festival, never been here before and once I heard about all of the HF beers on I knew where I was stopping for dinner.

Atmosphere was pretty good. Nice modern space filled with people enjoying themselves. Quality was pretty high. Our pizza was made with top notch ingredients and our beers were served in the correct glassware. Service was a little spotty at times. They were having their anniversary party so I think a bit of leeway needs to be applied but all in all I had no complaints about it. Selection was pretty crazy on our visit, in fact it is the entire reason for out visit. 5 limited HF beers and another limited Grassroots beer plus all of the others. You obviously wont see that every day, or ever again for that matter, so take it with a grain of salt. They appear to keep their tap list updated on the website so I suggest checking that for a better idea. Food was the highlight for me. We got a half bacon half cheese pizza and it was delicious. Prices on the beers were a touch high but the pizza was more than reasonable.

Overall another great option for beer / pizza in downtown Montpelier. I will definitely return next time I am in the area.
