My first Beer Army beer.Pours a deep tawny brown with a thinner quickt to fabe light beige head. Not much smoke in the nose with dark fruit, brown sugar, and roast standing out most.Flavors are also light in the smoke department although it's there, dark roast and earthy tones with a bit of bitter chocolate and dark fruit rounding out the palate. Not bad but it lacks a litle depth in all departments really.

Draft at Duckworths Ballentyne. Very light brown pour for a porter, thin layer of cream head. Looks like an English brown ale.
Aroma, toasted malt and nut. Light woody chocolate.
Taste, nice roast malt and some sweeter malt and toffee. Some smoke, coffee and cocoa in the drier finish.
A little lighter than medium body, easy drinking. Could be considered a touch watery.
Wouldn't hesitate to get it again as a session ale.
While it may not look like a typical porter, it makes up for that in the other areas. All around good effort.

Poured on-tap and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a dark, amber-brown coloring with a filmy, light tan, clingy coating head. Nose of smoke, roasted notes, cream, cocoa, and coffee. Very well balanced aromas. Flavors are roast and smoke forward, with a smooth coffee and cream blending, bitter undertones, and a sweet, rich overlay. Great combination of flavors. Smooth, slightly dry body. The aftertaste is roasted and bitter once again. Smooth, light finish with a roasted and bitter linger. Very tasty, very drinkable brew.

Battle Of Brock's Mill is a roasted smoked porter that is perfectly balanced and smooth and only 6% abv. With subtle hints of smoked malt and a nice full mouth feel this beer has got it all! A beautiful dark roasted brown color that cloaks a smoky and smooth robust flavor. Hints of chocolate, caramel, cocoa and a little bit of roasted malt this beer really speaks for itself. Proceeds from this beer also go to help Brocks Mill Pond in Trenton, NC, which is a beautiful place to visit if you can make it by the brewery sometime!
