Had a frozen goblet from tap.

The beer had a frothy 2 finger head, left a lot of lacing as it went down, was a light amber color.

Smelled very piney, a little sweet and citrus.

Tastes nice and fresh with some very piney hops and bitterness that sticks around.

Very smooth and drinkable, good all around IPA.

For the first time I purchased a growler. Have tried a number of the big horn beers in the past and they are certainly drinkable. The beer certainly fits the name well and the color of this beer is very red for a standard IPA. Had a full white head that had good staying power for having been served in a growler. Citrus notes and some acidity are definitely noticeable in the beer. The balance seems off as well since the hops over power the malt to a great extent. Not a bad session beer as on a subsequent tasting had a pitcher during a game and noticed all the same things. Taste and mouthfeel carry the beer with the hops being the main focus.

Bright gold beer, fairly clear, with a big creamy head of foam atop it and excellent lacing. Aroma is slight at best: grassy hops (true, it suffers from being served *ice cold*). Big grassy, citrus hop flavor, overwhelming any malt, with a high bitterness. One-dimensional, but if you like hops a lot, it's one of the better beers in their standard rotation.

A- Copper with medium head. Decent lace.

S- Citrusy with ok level of hop aromas. Piney.

T&M- Good carbonation. Hops jump up and beg for attention with good pine and citrus notes. The malt doesn't seem to stand up to the hops very well as it gets to be overly bitter for me too quickly.

D- I don't drink many IPAs and this didn't change my mind. It was pretty consistent though with other IPAs I have had so it would seem that it would please more diehard hop-heads.
