Serving Type: Dark brown bottle. Okay bottle art. Poured into a tulip glass.

A: Cloudy, amber body with a quickly fleeting beige head. Sub-par lacing. Only the carbonation keeps this bear from resembling apple juice.

S: Very peculiar aroma; can smell hints of pine, citrus, and hoppy malt. The initial smell was pungent, borderline acrid. It becomes more bearable over time which isn't necessarily a great thing. Despite having all of the components that generally effuse that sweet IPA-characteristic smell; it comes off has being a little too musky.

T: Initial sip starts off with what can best be described as a flat flavor with extremely subtle hints of citrus. It has a strong bitter hop finish which really takes away from its subtle undertones of flavor. All in all, there is nothing really standout about the taste. It isn't necessarily poor but it wouldn't qualify is being good, let alone great. It would be easily forgettable if it wasn't for the odd aftertaste.

M: Decent carbonation alongside a slight tingling sensation stemming from the alcohol. It's a fairly light beer as far as IPAs are concerned and is certainly drinkable if one disregards flavor and smell.

O: I bought this beer since it is a local brew. This brew was definitely disappointing and unfortunately lives up to its name. It feels like you are running a marathon to drink an entire bottle of this beer. I really wanted to enjoy the beer and while I made it through the whole bottle, I simply couldn't justify the purchase. It certainly has potential as one can notice the subtle flavors and aromas in the background. If only they weren't clouded by the distinct downsides...

Father-in-Law brought some over the other day, finally getting around to trying it.

Look: My hopes weren't especially high for this beer, but I'll be damned if this isn't a beautiful brew. Underneath the fluffy, pure white head, the beer is light gold and slightly hazy. Substantial film follows the beer down the glass with good lacing.

Smell: There's a solid dose of sweet orange (the fruit, not the rind) with some tropical undertones. It's not an aromatic monster like some of the well-known IPA heavyweights, but what it does it's doing very well.

Taste: Very much follows the nose. It tastes like an orange creamsicle, with some pineapple on the finish. Was not expecting this. That being said, the beer finishes dry.

Feel: The creamsicle flavor gives the brief illusion of a full bodied beer, but it's definitely more on the lighter side of medium. Refreshing carbonation makes this okay.

Overall: Clearly the recipe has changed since the iodine comparisons. This is a great warm weather beer. If you see this at your local store, definitely give it a shot.

Light gold color, a bit hazy. Thick white head on top fades to a solid lacing. Lightly carbonated with a few bubbles racing to replace the lacing. Smell is a bit fruity, tropicial type. Taste is lite on the tongue, hint of malt with a hop finish. Nice beer, rather refreshing

Awesome aroma and flavor of citrus..pine..and even a touch of smoke.
Pretty Darned good. Mod bitterness. Not chalky at all. Rounded out nicely. I appreciate the citrus/pine notes of this brew.

Nice light, bright orange color. Aroma is fruity, mainly tropical fruits, slight herbal and grassy notes. Taste has a nice orange rind bitterness with mainly tropical fruits. Very drinkable.

Poured from a bomber into a pint glass. Appearance was a cloudy dark honey umber with a thin and quickly evaporating head. Smell was mostly pleasant, grain and hop, but with a faint trace of odor. A harbinger of things to come...bad things to come. The taste is significantly off, perhaps infected - in a bad way - or maybe a result of residual chlorine. Tastes like band-aids smell. Overall the taste kills it.
