Style: Belgian IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.60%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Inspired by the founder’s daughter, and just like her, truly a one of a kind. A uniquely dryhopped Belgian Golden Ale with a subtle sweetness and a lot of mischievous tones. Don't be disarmed by her easy going nature, she packs quite a punch.

On tap at ParkSide 23 in Brookfield, WI. Never heard of this brewery until tonight.
Pours to a golden amber appearance with a two finger head. Smells of Belgian yeast, herbal funk, citrus and bready malt. Quite complex on the palate with sweet malt, spruce-like citrus tinged pine, mixed savory herbs and Belgian yeast. Hops are present on the finish but there's almost no bitterness from them. Creamy mouthfeel with low carbonation. I must admit this beer is very unique tasting - I can not think of another beer that tastes like it which is a good thing. Worth seeking out.

Pours on tap a golden orange yellow with a 2 inch thick white head. Smell of caramel, citrus, bit of grapefruit, and some light sweet malt. Taste of citrus, sweet caramel malt, grapefruit, and slight strawberry. It has a semi dry moderate mouth feel and a light to moderate smooth body. Little bit to much like club soda flavor.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, batch # M151. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber color with a 2-3 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light banana, coriander, pepper, candi sugar, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/pine hops, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light banana, coriander, pepper, candi sugar, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, light pine, light banana, coriander, pepper, candi sugar, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/pine hops, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian IPA style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/pine hops, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is floral with sweet citrus, banana, toffee, a light cinnamon and brown sugar spice blend, and even a hint of nuts. The beer appears oily and deep brown-red / mahogany hue with only a very thin white head disappears completely and leaves a clean glass. The beer is a medium high sweet up front that mellows, and turns over to a medium bitter late. The texture is syrupy and flat. The medium body is made up of floral and honey notes on the palate, with a light, roasted hint and finishes with a toasty brown sugar. The aftertaste is cloying and sugary with an almost clean resin quality and a late, bitter grapefruit peel note
