The Le Seul XIII pours a cloudy orange and has a sharp, sour smell. It is brewed with guava, so there are some tropical notes, and I also detected some scents of apple, melon, and maybe peach. It has a crisp bite that makes it refreshing to drink.

Guava edition.
Opaque pale orange, looks like juice in the bottle and glass. Thin lasting ring of foam and minor spotty lacing. Aroma is funky, a bit sulfury, tropical guava.

Taste is tart and acidic, puckering with a fruity guava note. Thins out and with a little twang of Brett in the aftertaste. Light bodied with a slightly watery finish. Overall I had high hopes for this, and it's decent but not really a juicy fruit bomb.

Pours opaque orange, super hazy orange, pulpy orange juice.
The aroma is largely funky yeast, tart lacto and citrusy fruit.
The flavor is super juicy, with a very pleasant tartness. The funk doesn't really play until the finish, where it hits and ends suddenly.
Overall it's just an ok sour, nothing spectacular.

Deep, hazy orange. If it weren't for the lack of head, I would think it was a New England IPA based on appearance. Acidic, yet tropical aroma with hints of funk. Flavor is quite acidic, mostly acetic in quality. Light and dry. Subtle Brett funk in the middle. Finishes with a sweet, tropical guava to balance to acid. Dry overall body. High carbonation is perfect. Creamy yeast texture. Dry, thirst provoking finish. Surprised to see the mediocre reviews on this. The complexity, acidity, fruit character and balance really make this beer special to me.

Pours opaque orange - looks like a lighter colored orange juice. Thinnish white head dissipates leaving a white slick of foam on top of the beer. Lovely looking beer.

Smell is very tart and acidic on the nose. Get a bit of that barnyard funk on the nose as well. A hint of guava but its not all that strong.

Taste is initially very tart, a hint of fruit, but not much overall. The guava peeps through along with some super tart grapefruit and orange flavors. As the tart wears off you are left with a strong bland straw flavor. Finish is almost abrupt. in how it dies out and leaves you with the straw flavor, then really nothing but a bit of a watery straw bland flavor.

Feel is not super carbonated. Smooth yet tart and puckering. Nice feel for a wild ale.

Overall its a solid beer. Not sure Id get it again, but it was good. There was just something abrupt about the finish in the taste that left more to be desired. Still though, it had nice aromas and a spot on feel.
