Nice murky copper gold color with a tight white head. Mild citrus aroma with hints of sweet malt. Taste is pretty malty with light citrus hop touch. Reminds me of the old days before IPAs became true hop bombs. A well-balanced beer that you might use to convert your hop-phobic friends to IPAs.

Brilliant balance of malt and hops. Pairs well with damn near any meal, so this is my default beer.

Pours a foggy orange with a white head that leaves a moderately laced glass.
Aroma says grapefruit, melon and some citrus.
Taste is similar to the aroma, more pronounced, nice bitter finish.
Medium bodied, good carbonation.
This has some age on it,, I'd like to try this fresh. Pretty good.

Great traditional IPA. Perfectly balanced and hits the right notes. I would recommend sitting at a bar and drinking from a cold glass. The only thing is the initial hop first taste but smooths out with a strong mild mouthfeel

Day 4 of the advent calendar.
Gold in color and with big white head; tight. It goes down after a short while and leaves the perfect amount behind
English-style indeed-- instead of all hops all the time, this one is soft and sweet. Notes of spices-- cloves-- and bread before the bitterness settles in. I'm not sure I'd call it an IPA but I would call it delicious and well worth having again.

Traded one of my Birdsong cans for a can of Gatecrasher at the Tailgate at the brewery. Other guy wanted to try birdsong out. Poured from a can into Teku glass. Looks fantastic. Pretty clear, inviting looking foam. Pale Amber. I'm still training my nose to smell these beers, but I think I'm getting nuttiness, a little grassiness, peppery feel. Good bitterness in the taste. Well balanced IPA profile. Medium body.

Pleasant. Sessionable. Nothing terribly distinctive, but nothing off either.

Pours a medium amber with moderate head resolving to thin lacing.
Smell is a bit of grapefruit and spices.
Taste is tropical fruit and malty.
Some caramel. Very English.

Appearance: Pours a highly bubbly clear orange color with a moderate to high foamy head that lingers.
Aroma: Mostly lemony wildflower, pine, and tropical citrus including melon and grapefruit.
Flavor: Taste follows the nose highlighting the lemon and honey floral and grassy quality of the English style IPA. Honey wildflower and dandelion. There is also a considerable amount of tropical citrus. Moderate amount of honey malt sweetness. The bitterness is attenuated, yet it finishes dry leaving just a touch of honey on the tongue. Low astringency.
Feel: Low astringency. Medium bodied and very smooth. The heavier malts balance well to soften the hop bitterness. Drinks like a pale ale.
Overall: An excellent English IPA. I am new to the style. Slightly more tropical fruit than I would expect, but the flavor captures the English hops profile well. Heavier malts and less bitterness than the American style as expected. It's well made and absolutely delicious. This one I could drink for a while.

Unknown vintage; drank 2/27/15 @ the Yarchives.
See-through orange appearance.
HUGE off-white head; a curtain of tree-rung lace.
Orange, mango, grapefruit & honey in the nose; a citrus bomb!
Medium mouthfeel.
Orange citrus, mango & mild honey flavors up front; a mildly dry finish.
An enjoyable session ale.
